    Re: GHD Hair straightners

    Hi Dave

We repair GHD our charge is £17.50 plus any parts then the VAT, quite reasonable really when you consider the retail of the straighteners is around the £140 mark.

There was at one time some Eastern origin fake straighteners and parts out thetre hence the warning on their website, I can`t believe that anyone like Connect or Masterpart would be that silly and not check the spares.

    Hi wpo750

I shortened the fridge freezer link in your original post to keep the page width normal 😉

    Hi Mark

You just answered your own question 🙂 the ISE AW23 with a full five year warranty £519.99 delivered and installed would be the way to go with the usage you are anticipating. The Hoover is not anywhere near the build it used to be since being bought out by Candy and it`s guarantee after the first year is for parts only. Couple the ISE guarantee with local service It`s a winner.

    Hi

Average budget I would look at Zanussi or AEG , upping the budget then Neff and Siemens or if going the full mile then the Liebherr.

    Hi Andy

The only new release I have seen of late is the Lec T5029 only problem is it not side by side and it has a smaller capacity. Sadly the Zanussi ZFC45/30 hasn`t been made for a few years now.

Can someone move this to a more suitable forum please 🙂

    Hi Gerard

Liebherr are the best in the market place followed by Siemens and then the Bosch.

    Re: Low water pressure machines

    Hi IP

All the tech spec from the different brands I have to hand indicate machines require 1 bar water pressure which equals a flow rate of 8 litres a minute. Anything less than that then a pump may be required if the customer has a bore hole or a well. If it is a main`s water feed then local water authority have to supply a 1 bar pressure IIRC.

Re: Hotpoint FF Writeoff but still under parts warranty

    Hi 2down

Unless you have the Hotpoint repair protection plan you may have a struggle to get anything from Hotpoint I`m afraid. This area of the sale of goods act is so grey and quite confusing, a good read here should give you an insight of the minefield you are facing. However I would still write to Hotpoint at Peterborough explaining the situation and what you would consider to be a fair solution to the problem.

If you do end up having to replace your Hotpoint and considering your location I would probably go for a higher quality brand if you can like Liebherr, Bosch or Miele.

It`s blowing the internal fuse on the PCB, not the fuse in the plugtop. Different set up and scenario altogether.

    Hi

According to the Neff shop it`s part no. 096825, Connect lists MTR9187 as an equivalent motor, but there`s probably others out there 😉 .
