Correct and it`s a pale silver at that, more like aluminium if you ask me.

Official line from Bosch when I spoke to them a while back on this very subject is they are now made in the EU 😯 ( Germany not in the EU then ), nobody was prepared to say exactcly where, perhaps they don`t even know themselves :rolls: They do / did have quite a few factories in several countries across mainland Europe though.

I noticed tonight that Comet are selling a BOSCH WAA24162GB for £238, and you can pay a further £110 to increase it to a five year warranty.

It`s their entry level machine, no bells and whistles. Not a bad buy and it has the usual Bosch two year warranty.

The WLX 24162 seems to be a Which? best buy. Does anyone know the difference between the WAA and WLX bosch machines?

WLX is the slim depth machine, it`s only 40cm deep and only has a 4.5 kg load capacity. You would get better value for your pound by going for it`s 6kg partner the WAE24363.

If you can go the extra then I would deffinately go with theISE5 1600 spin AAA rated with a full five-year warranty

Re: New fridge/freezer recommendation with large freezer

    Hi

This Whirlpool 20RBD1L is about as big as I can find on a side by side.

Another option would be to have a large freezer in the gap say 60 wide and a small 30cm unit taking up the rest of the space, with a smaller fridge elsewhere in the property.

Or you increase the size up to 120cm and have a matching pair side by side to give the “American” look. You could even reverse the hinge on one door as well.

    Hi baglady

The only way to get a bigger fridge is to look at the bigger fridge freezers out there which stand at 200cm tall, then look at the storage split. This Bosch KGH49A03 is probably about one of the bigest that I know of.

    Hi

I`ll have a look on Monday when I`m back at my desk. This is the first opportunity I`ve had of being online, due to the darn white stuff and no bt line.
