Re: Looking for a new integrated washer/dryer

    Hi

The AEG, Electrolux and the Zanussi are all from the same stable. The Electrolux does not have all the bells and whistles of the others. As for the Smeg will look good but ……………. Do you really need a washer dryer combined as the reliabilty is an issue.

This article on washer dryers may change your mind and perhaps consider looking at seperatewashers and dryers.

If anyone who sells them could check for me that would be great. It was the top end of the hob range at the time so would have cost me a pretty penny!!

I sell Neff hobs, however we only keep current price lists I`m afraid as we get them updated every few months. A seven year Neff paper mountain would be rather too large to keep.

The only suggestion I can come up with would be to track back to the original supplier of the hob. They will posiibly be able to track back through thier invoice or a copy of your reciept (given time). If you paid for it by credit card or cheque then your bank / card issuer may be able to assist.

    Hi Linda

The price for the module alone according to the Neff spares shop is £232 odd, so I would not have thought they would repair it but you never can tell 😉

Neff online catalogue here may help you select the nearest current model and a google search should give you an idea of the replacement cost. From the current figure I would probably add on say 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for price erosion over the last seven years.

While looking for something else I came across this Alliance and Leicester link for free banking which also includes a .25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} interest on the whole balance, not much I know but better than nothing.

Hope this helps someone out there.

    Hi newnhak

I would go for the BTC6720SS it`s half as much again on extraction for getting past that 90 degree angle. For the best quality, noise level and longevity of life have a look at Elica not cheap but it will outlast anything else out there.

    Hi

Most manufactrurers admit that ducted is better than recirculation, therefore if fitting a bend I would purchase a recognised brand of hood with a good extraction rate.

What style of hood and size are you looking at purchasing?

    Hi Kevin

Miele apart no one else produces a semi integrated washer dryer let alone in brown 😉 Only possible suggestion I can give is for customer to go for fully integrated where there are quite a few out there, they would of course have to try and get a close match door from one of the kitchen suppliers though.

Also what sort of ventilation do they need as our current microwave is in an under counter cupboard but with quite a bit of clearance around it.

As long as there is an airflow around it then that should be fine.

Re: Electric oven under counter (with induction Hob on top)

    Hi yoghurt

All the tech spec I have come across and the conversations I have had with manufacturers so far say ” only a single oven can be installed under a induction hob to ensure adequate ventilation”.

However someone else may know different 😉

Another way of achieving a double oven may be to have a single oven as now and add a combination microwave which would then give the second fan oven.

The only one is the Miele W2839I and it comes at a pretty price too. May well be an idea to sit them down first with a large whisky.

Everything else is now fully integrated, so may be an idea to take an existing cupboard door around the kitchen suppliers to try and get a good match.

    Hi

Nothing wrong with either of those two frestanding dishwashers (says he who is in his 40th year in the trade). Both are from the same stable ie BSH, for the little extra in price I would go for the Siemens as it has more flexibility in the baskets and it has the water safe valve on the incoming supply. Along with the 5 year Siemens guarantee to the Bosch`s two it`s a much better buy.

If you go down the route of integrated you will need to purchase a door unit to match existing units and an extra piece of plinth, you will also need to decide if it`s going to be semi integrated (controls showing) or fully integrated (controls hidden along top of machine door) plus the cost
of the appliance will increase as well :rolls: much easier to stick with freestanding.
