    Hi Phil

Amica is a Polish company who have recently arrived in the UK. I`ve seen the 50cm gas cooker with the single cavity at our local BDC centre . The quality isn`t the best but the products are covered by a two year guarantee. Think I will stick with the Gorenje products 😉

    Hi

Cooling fans are indeed fitted to the induction hob. To ensure good ventilation to stop the hob from overheating it may necessary to cut away the top few inches of the rear panel behind the oven.

Re: Which wash machine for me?

    Hi MrsC

I have installed some of these and I can honestly say it is a well crafted machine worthy of the price point and with it`s full five year warranty is indeed a good solid purchase.

I think this section from the ISE website homepage sums it up quite nicely.

ISE wrote: Our machines are built to the highest standards, with long guarantees (underwritten with AXA). They are designed to be easy to repair by local independent repairers who are trained and equipped by us with spare parts supplied to them with no mark up ; thus making out of guarantee repairs good value relative to a replacement.

We intend to reduce global CO2 emissions by shrinking the UK domestic appliance market and encouraging repair over replacement. Not very attractive if your business relies exclusively on the sales of new products, therefore you will not see ISE in convention electrical retailers.

If you need to change one of your kitchen appliances consider ISE and break the cycle of needless consumption.

Yep I got it yesterday as well, £75 order for free delivery on UK mainland. Thank our lucky stars we are not in the Scottish highlands as the minimum order for free delivery is now £200, if it`s under this figure delivery is £9.50 😯

Re: Which wash machine for me?

    Hi Mrs C

Basically the cheaper the machine the shorter the life span and the poorer the service should it fail.

Washing 7 loads a week you would be much better off to go for either the Bosch WAE24363 or it`s 1400 spin partner the 28363, both have a two year warranty.

Another way of looking at it would be the ISE5 designed by engineers from this site, delivered by the same guys and also serviced should it fail yep you got it by the same guys 8) . It comes with a full five year warranty, after this period spares are a lot cheaper than the mainstream suppliers. Price for this well crafted appliance is a mere £449 plus delivery and installation. Click the link to see what we mean ISE5 1600 spin AAA rated with a full five-year warranty While it isn`t cheap it will outlast anything else in it`s class and Which magazine think highly of it as well.

    Hi

You will probably need an electrician to ascertain whether the supply is capable of running an induction hob. Most I have looked at require at least a 30 Amp supply.

The following previous threads are worth a read on this type of requirement.

    Thompsons stock them, 01905 763376.

Unlike the old Hotpoints or Hoovers, these are plastic bodied and if IIRC they have no heater either. Then there is the no castor issue :rolls: so the old dears find them hard to move around.

    Hi kinsden

The Electrolux range is generally well thought of by the trade. The products are well made for the price and reliability is quite sound. Service should it be needed is available nationwide and spares are reasonably priced too.

Just one thing if you are living in a purpose built flat or a house converted to a flat then this new new legislation on gas appliances will apply.

Less £ = replacing appliance on a more than regular basis. One of our letting agents went down this route a couple of years ago, landlords wanting cheap cheap all the time. Let`s just say they have learned the hard way 😀
