Ok, I see. Is it easy to life the hob to see model number etc?
I have given the hob a good clean where it sparks and it seems to have reduced the frequency of the sparking but it has not been eliminated.

There is definitely no lever on hot pipe under sink.
Its an ex-council house and they fitted a new kitchen etc under two years ago.
I suspect it just hasn’t been fitted. I presume the only other option is to try and find a stop cock further up the chain and drain the water from the pipes before fitting blanking cap?
