    Re: 0800 Repair

    over analysing guys ..

no1 piece of info you need is – what type of appliance do you have ,,

you could then do you own further analysis as i often do -normally when i park out side house ( goes something like what a dckhe{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}D 200k+ property with a kenwood dishwasher

this could go either way – i hope he doesnt ask me for my opinion on the quality of the unit.

i also hope he doesnt start telling me he didnt expect this appliance to break after 1 month.

    so to recap

what type of appliance .. postcode and possibly job title,

and then do 1 of the following
    charge accordingly
or smile grit your teeth and be nice..

or give both barrels if you having bad day and customer falls into one of your complex analysis profiles

    Re: 0800 Repair

as x brit gas i know how it works , seen it 1st hand – engineer in this case plainly didnt know what he was doing or couldnt be ar$$sed ..? .

infairness b-g shouldnt be taking on appliances they know nothing about or atleast advise customer as to what appliances they can service letting customer decide if they want contract ..

when i was there you got little or no help regards tech etc , and in my case my line manager was a useless ex engineer who really couldn’t give a stuff about his engineers – was more interested in climbing the greasy corporate pole .. so i would occasionaly pass an appliance mostly because lack of tech – but more so when i was leaving to piss off line manager ..

    ahhh the joys

    Re: 0800 Repair

i dont know if you can class an 0800 franchise independent ?

what do they do if they get a job themselves ie doing an 0800 washing machine repair and then pick up a cooker job in same house – does the cooker go through 0800 ? i know what i would do but im not a 0800 franchise

engineers queuing at the door – come on mike you are having a laugh , last count 10 franchises..

wouldnt bet on them sticking someone in your area as close as they can legally go either. if someone offers them the cash and they happen to be in same area – are they going to turn it down ..
