    Re: google maps

you do know we can review each others google maps listing – thus helping it to be top of map listing …

only thing i dont quite know is if its better for review to come from a local source , ie within listing area..

the whole idea for this google maps is to get everyone a local listing and then optimise- review to keep them there..

i just wonder bob how many of us are not on google maps – as the potential business the local indys are loosing could be high.

    Re: 0800 Repair

edited thanks to dd .. bet me to it

    is it just me

but what relevance does most of the 0800 facebooks posts have to do with repairs to domestic appliances ?.

    like this one
Japanese home cooking trend boosts domestic appliance market

    or this one
Appliance rebate programme is a major hit in New York

i dont get it , but then again i dont really understand facebook etc .?

    Re: 0800 Repair

got to take my hat of to 0800 – very clever spin re web site statements / wording etc, and their over all marketing campaign ..whether they have the substance to back it up seem to be the issue

pretty sure this has came at a hefty price and will continue to do so – who,s paying for it i dont know ? , their pay per click sponsored links on google alone must be costing a fortune and dont guarantee anything as customers will click on them and decide not to take up their service. cant see this lasting to long,

like martin has highlited their choice of weapon (twitter – facebook etc ) is a double bladed sword .

There is Kevin Bennett, Kevin Burnett and Kevin Martin.

intresting lee .. what i cant understand is this

    quote frm 0800 site
we only interview about a third of applicants, and offer franchises to about a third of people we interview. In other words we reject over 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of applicants, and

only take those who are: skilled in the sort of work we take on
who are polite and well presented; who are friendly and understand the importance of customer service.

doesnt seem to be many franchisees from within whitegoods sector.. dont see how the statement above equates to franchises taken ?

    Re: 0800 Repair

did some one say their are only 10 0800 franchise,s.

if true then ade,s orig statement re jtm agents being sent to 0800,s customers has a lot more relevance.

stands to reason that there’s no way the 10 0800 franchisee,s are doing all the calls.

0800 states that they dont advertise much is laughable – do a quick google search for any appliance repair in any major town – city in the uk and guess who appears in the top 3 sponsored adverts …

give you clue – a repair co that state on their own site that they dont advertise much.

they also have local area tel no,s on the site to give the impression that customer is calling the local franchise.

nothing much wrong with this most companies have local numbers , but i would be concerned if it was my franchise , how do you know your are getting all the work generated of your site ? .

    quote from 0800 site
We don’t advertise much – a big proportion of our business comes through referrals from satisfied customers, and we like it that way. It means we can spend more time focusing on delivering great service, and less time on deciding where we should advertise. Please bear this in mind when you use us – the success of our business relies on word-of-mouth, so do pass on the word if you are happy with our service.

maybe need to explain this then ? :boops:
