    Re: 0800 Repair

without appearing to upsett anyone (mike)

re 0800 local web page they have created you

    this statement

    Manufacturer trained engineers

this statement implies that your particular repair centre has engineers who are fully trained on all manufacturers .

this type of statement is misleading customers into thinking that perhaps you are a fully trained zanussi engineer etc and on that basis they will call 0800

i know 0800 will say yes they have manufactured trained engineers but they really shouldnt imply that your particular local centre has a full compliment of manufactured trained engineers ..

0800 should state the manufacturers that your centre is trained on ?

please dont take this the wrong way mike as i know this is not your fault – this page has been done by 0800

Re: WTA’s Alleged 0800 Repair Involvement

ive heard cirque du soleil is good ..

i think it may be an idea to have some sort of method where if a valid point is raised , it can be assessed – debated and if warranted forwarded to who it concerns.

whether this involves a process between wta, dasa, who ever/whatever it concerns.

possibly with the use of an outside source who can look at issue with an impartial view?.

    just a thought ..

maybe it would spoil the fun ..after all this is a forum and whatever you think of the issue im sure we have all learned
    something !..

well said s-b , thats exactly what it comes down to at the end of the day keeping your customers happy offering good service, (not really the issue but you are correct)

please dont shoot me down in flames for next statement –

maybe its time for wta and dasa to have some sort of dual affiliation -dont know how it would work or if it would work – but both ultimatley have the same end game.

got to guys – think theres a sniper on rooftop across the road ..

hope im not detracting from main issue – but would this whole 0800 debate be different if it was a dasa member or a non affiliate who brought it up?

maybe thread should have been locked – maybe should have been never posted, maybe we should address these type of issues privately, maybe we all learn something

it will be a sad day when we cant debate valid industry issues

thats from someone who drives about with a big screw driver on their roof.

there has been some valid points raised in this thread, with all sides fighting their corner.

hopefully the valid points will be taken on board by the relevant parties and a satisfactory solution found

thought i would lighten the thread for a moment – purley so martin can get some sleep .

cast you minds back the article r.e the engineer told customer to face the appliance into the sun ….etc etc ..

i wonder who that was , was this agent a member of any trade body – and what would their explanation have been ?

yes madam your are correct – can you please keep the engineer their – we will send the men in white coats round – you cant mis them just look out for van with big syringe on roof ..

    Re: 0800 Repair

maybe an idea for 0800 to add a bit to their q&a section that explains they as a company are associate dasa members – but not all off their franchised engineers are dasa members.

i can see where it could mislead customers – in fairness dasa not mentioned on their homepage etc .

just the same as a holiday firm saying they abta etc ,
