    Wasn’t meant to be off putting, just its an ongoing thing that model numbers are not given as it can be annoying when repetetive as it does state at the top of the forum to supply the information 😉
    Please post the model number and we will endeavour to advise, as private PM to fix/diagnose is not the done thing really 🙂

    The clicking may (if fitted) be the diverter unit on the heater re setting prior to filling.
    I would as Jim said do the search 😉

    Always use genuine , never had a problem. I know from past usage of non-gen hotpoint carbons that this was a problem 😥 😀

    I would then now check the HOT solenoid, with a multimeter, it should read app 2.5kOhms .
    Unplug appliance before attempting this :plug:
