British Gas Business and British Gas Services named in the nation’s Top 50 UK workplaces

British Gas Business and British Gas Services have both been named in the nation’s Top 50 UK workplaces.

British Gas Business came in the top 10 in the Financial Times’ Best Workplaces UK 2007 index for the second year running; the third consecutive year it has made the top 50. British Gas Services got into the top 50 at its first attempt.

The businesses won the accolade, announced at an awards ceremony in London on 2 May, in competition with 3,400 companies.

The FT awards recognise employers that set the standard for others to follow across all areas of the workplace, including fairness at work, pride in the business, respect between colleagues and camaraderie at work.

More than 500 British Gas Services people and 300 from British Gas Business were approached at random and asked to complete confidential questionnaires.

They all seem happy, odd that 😕 😆

Re: Siemens Edition 150 dishwasher problems…

    Hi
Could be a dicky drain pump, difficult to tell without hands on.
We are getting closer to calling an engineer in TBH as its not a fault readily diagnosed on here 😥

Re: Bosch WFT2800 keeps on filling!

    Hi
    The hot valve is 154645 @ £17.86 +VAT etc
The cold is more intensive as it has numerous valves, p/no 261841 @ £62.86 + VAT etc. Spares are available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if required 😀

Un plug appliance if you are to investigate yourself :plug:

Re: Bosch WFT2800 keeps on filling!

    Hi
Does your model end with – GB/01,11,12 or 13 ?
The fault you describe sounds like one of the fill valves isn’t fully closing and will need replacing.
Unless you can isolate which, you may have to change both.

    Hi
You will need a multimeter set to the ohm setting and measure the heater resistence app 20-30 ohms, with appliance un plugged.
    Part available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    Re: Replacing Bosch control card

    Hi
Cost will vary from engineer to engineer but a ball park insight would be either cost of call out/one hour labour plus additional labour if any other faults materialise thereafter.

    Re: Replacing Bosch control card

    Hi
I would IMHO get a Bosch familiar engineer to recode old PCB then concentrate on the faults which may disappear when coded correctly.
Not a straight forward fix Im sorry and Ive gone as far as I reasonably can.

    SKINNY DIPPING

An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He
had a large pond in the back, fixed up nicely: Picnic tables, horseshoe
courts, a volleyball court, and some apple and peach trees. The pond
was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond and look it
over, as he hadn’t been there in a while. He grabbed a five gallon bucket
to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices
shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch
of young women skinny dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his
presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave!”

The old man frowned, “I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim
naked or make you get out of the pond naked.”
Holding the bucket up he said, “I’m here to feed the alligator.”
Old men can still think fast. 😆
