    Re: Whirlpool ADP5966 F8 error

    Hi
You either looking at dirty or faulty Water Indicator (WI) situated in sump below filters, when removed;at the 3 oclock position OR there is a problem with the float assembly in the base eg water ingress or base pushed up too far thus activating it.

Un plug appliance before investigating further :plug:

My mate works for a white-goods company and he allows me full acess to their techinical info ( through his code ), now he’s a MATE, eh? But i must add i have’nt read the smallprint or anything in regard to this.

If your MATE is found out to be allowing anybody except authorised personnel to log in, which is the same for logging in here; they will take a dim view and probably suspend his account 😯

    Hi
If you locate the plug connector 2 blue 2 brown.
If you then short out blue (common) with dark brown that should sort it out

    Hi Jim
If you take the front panel off and check the module (Front right behind panel) for dry joint/s 😉 worth a look.
Also check the motor loom for chaffing, have seen a few on the motor supports.

To be honest, if thats all you are using it for, any make will do. Just resign yourself that a replacement will probably be annually, hard to tell really.

    Thanks Chris

Had one the other day similar age, and was the lower door seal. Where they attach to lip along the door well they distort an become detached allowing wash water to seep out.

Its not a bad job to fit, customer will love it 😈
When they call you because they have given up, all you have to do is

1/ Release door springs from base and remove front panel.
2/ Undo 2x torx hinge retainer screws from left and right side
    3/ Remove old seal assembly
4/ Clean along floor of stainless inner below door where seal would come in contact.
5/ Offer one side of new seal plastic assembly BETWEEN stainless of door and hinge it MUST be sandwiched and re attach with the torx screws the door inner and hinge; and then the other side.
6/ Lip new rubber onto door well
7/ Re attach door tension in base.
8/ Look smug after you have shown them how easy it was 😆

Re: White Knight T/D door handle

    Hi Jim
If spring seems flimsy there is a good chance that there is damage to the door frame itself where the spring hooks behind to tension. Complete door may be in order.

The nearest model I can find with the door you describe is CL432WV and this uses door CRS421309217181, which has a square door handle, around £16+vat trade price retail around £30 😉

    Hi
Providing that the inside is not scorched and door is still aligned and door glass isnt cracked or damaged in anyway.
The best way really is to get a microwave engineer to give it the once over and give it a leakage and insulation test, just to put your mind at rest 😉
Please feel free to use the engineer link below.

Can you get the number off the rear rating sticker as this will isolate your particular machine 😉
