If you have a fault, the “Start” lamp will flash from 1 -9 flashes.
To me that sounds like a clogged Water Indicator, found below the filters at the 3 o clock position.
Its round with a mesh front. Try gently cleaning that with a toothbrush.Greg

Probably the belt tension rather than a belt problem. These like a piano wire tension to sense load correctly or it goes into OOB.

Possibly hinges but these have a nasty habit of spring snapping.
My guess is that one of the hinges springs has snapped.
I would IMHO change both hinges and receivers due to age 😀Hinges 643913 for both sides
