    Re: Bosch exxcel 1400 express

Depends on wash selected. If you choose a low temp then yes it will put cold in first to avoid damaging garments; if you choose a hot wash it will fill with hot.
The new excells are a cold fill only.

    Hope that helps.

PS The aeriel tablets will dissolve efficiently in hot or cold water 😉

If its not in the manual, its supposed to be there I would imagine as Miele are meticulous in information.

For your info, autowash is the only programme that utilises the turbidity circuitry.

It will be flow wheel sticking I imagine. A change of the l/h tank which comes complete with the flow meter approx £30 will sort that. Had one last week intermittent little sod 😆

Re: To Salt or Not to Salt ??

    Hi

If the water is soft (i.e. does not contain calcium particles), the detergent will work more effectively and there will be less streaking on dishes. Hard water can also block the washer jets with lime scale and cause deposits on heating elements, which will reduce the cleaning efficiency, increase electricity costs and shorten the life of the machine. All dishwasher manufacturers and detergent suppliers want you to get the best results from the machine – and soft water is one of the most important factors in achieving this. The way to ensure water remains soft is to regularly top up the reservoir with granular salt.
Three in one salt tablets do not activate the water softener. For optimum results, the reservoir should be topped up with granular salt. Three-in-one and ‘salt action’ tablets do not top up the reservoir and should be used in conjunction with granular salt for optimum results.

    Hope that helps

Possibly thermostat failure tripping thermal cut out when close to melt down 🙂 would reset when normal working temp reached.
