Re: Which brand should I buy?

    Hob
    Gas hobs only…

Neff – though I’n far from convinced about this brand, buth others in the know seem to rate them highly.
    Siemens – classic German looks
Fisher/Paykel – again, good looking but simple hobs

    Oven
My preference is strongly for a gas oven, but that limits my choice a bit too much…

    Siemens – same reason

    range
Although we’re likely to go for hob/cooker, the Range option isn’t ruled out yet.
Mercury – bullet-proof range, but a tad pricey!
    Leisure – Rangemaster

    Dishwasher
Fisher/Paykel – Any views on the 2 drawer version?

    Bosch

    Fridge
This is a difficult choice; I like the idea of having the ice machine, but don’t really like the big US fridges; might still go for one though.

Maytag – Default choice for US-style?

    Washing machine
Don’t say Meile to me! Until they employ a designer that’s not living in the 80’s, I just can’t consider them, no matter how well they’re built.
MIELE – Who cxares about looks, you tellin me you gonna watch it all cycle Dyson – I suspect nobody will agree with this one? You are kidding right ??
Bosch – for the build quality.

    Hi Louis
At this juncture I would follow Chris’s suggestion and get an engineer in.
Miele charge is £74.47 + vat. This price reflects the quality of the machine and the service you will get (btw Hotpoint charge more)

    Good luck

    Greg 😉

    Hi
Had same fault on an Electrolux (same breed) yesterday.
Pump blown appliance doing nothing, only locking the door.
Changed PCB all done. Luckily was a Coverplan job so customer was relieved.
Board isnt too bad to fit; only problem is that the majority of the PCBs come uncoded and you will need the coding sheet to tell it what machine its being fitted to.
Last two PCBs I’ve fitted have thankfully come coded 🙂

Re: Indesit washer/dryer (wdg 1095W) problems

    Hi
Most common faults with this machines drying part are –
1/ Dryer fan motor seized or seizing
2/ Condeneser unit (clearish plastic container at rear) blocked with fluff.

Nos 1 and 2 tends to trip the thermal protection thermosat on top of dryer manifold.

Before investigating please unplug appliance :zap:
    :plug:

    Hi
Depending on model you can change fill valve by popping rear panel that holds valve (is a bit tight, so removing L/H panel and disconnecting fill hose from valve; (blue; and a bugger to get on and off) as Martin said; to give you more length to extract.

Re: bosch dishwasher SGS5312 – stuck on rinse mode

    Hi
This is a known fault. To clarify, if you remove the module unit completly
(power off of course and unplugged) the casin will split in two.
Remove relay board from casing and remake burnt pin connection on heater relay; job done

Re: Bosch Dishwasher Time Fault ?

    Hi
Its a long shot but I imagine the correct model is SGV5613GB/12 ie the S could be an 5.
It appears to be an imported appliance due to most of documentation being in German (supposing that this is the correct model)

For now I would agree this Chris on this one.
