Just done washer dryer bearing change on same range, however the inner race of bearing had welded itself to the drum shaft 👿
Had to remove front (horrid strip down) and replace drum shaft to old drum.

As Phidom rightly said, remove bearing cross piece and then inspect drum shaft carefully 😉

This model has a timed fill 😕
When you first go to the appliance to fill it, is there any visible water in the tank above the filters? (Always a little below them 😉 )
If so you may have a weeping fill valve putting a small amount of water in, then the machine fills to the correct amount but obviously now it will be too much 😕

If there was damage to the armature then I would change the motor rather than repair.
There maybe damage to the module without showing any visible damage, but we cannot suggest live testing the motor plug sorry. It doesn’t take much to pop them 😥
A good thing to do would be to check the motor plug wire for wire to the module plug for continuity also just to eliminate.

I reckon you are right as its not listed in the fault codes and the user manual (off the BSH site 😉 ) says that if the Wash lamp flashes it indicates poor fill flow ie – kinked fill hose, water tap not switched on etc or strainers in hose clogged 😕
