Re: Upsizing the size of a hob question.

    Thanks Don,

Since posting, looked at some other designs and quite like the look of this model Fagor 6CFI-5GLSTNAT, not sure how to Hyperlink but here is an address….

    http://www.fagor.co.uk/70cm-burner-gas- … 00094.html

We have an inbuilt oven and combi microwave from this supplier. It appears that this model also has a “standard 60” type of aperture. The existing hob is an AEG 69802 G.

Wait if you can, you won`t regret it.

    Don

Liebherr turned up on Saturday; very pleased as so much quieter than the previous Bosch. Looks good too!

Delivery of the Liebherr has been put back to November… we are not desperate for a fridge but am considering swapping the order to a Siemens; any viewpoint on this? SWMBO says hang on until November and go for Siemens if delayed again… I am thinking just go for a Siemens; it may not be “the best (Liebherr)” but surely it must come close?

    Re: Which Vacuum Cleaner?

Certainly a good choice to go with a bagged unit. We bought a bagless and I had to empty it into the outside bin, getting covered in the resultant dust plume! Each time I emptied, the inner part had to be removed and stripped of fluff and hair…. not nice, more dust.

    Thanks for the reply.
I am still interested to hear how users find living with the noise of a frost free (if there is much more than a non frost freel fridge).
As mentioned our Bosch was far too noisy, even when sat the otherside of the kitchen door and would not want to make the same mistake.

    Thanks Don,

I will check these out. How quiet is this brand’s frost free, the Bosch was very noisy when the fan started?

Thanks nomad, it has had the defrost mod; would they have done the fan change at the same time?

    Re: KGN33V00GB acceptable noise levels?

    Thanks guys.

It has allways been noisy, more so than the Hotpoint FF?92/72 which it replaced. I have always had to close the door to the kitchen as it is irritating but since we are having building work and have it in the lounge it is very noisy.
I am donating it to my folks but they have a standard FF and may not appreciate all the noise and wondered if a fan change (under the extended warranty) may sort it out.

    best wishes.

    Thanks for the replies!

So it all comes down to how they are (mis)installed and the general reliability of the product.

Not too sure which way to go now!

We had the engineer call and fit the mod kit.

Whilst it took a while to drop it’s temp, it has done.

Thanks for all the help on this forum.

Re: New noisey Bosch KGN34X00G Fridge / freezer

I have posted about about a problem with my KGN33V00GB previously and was linked to this thread.

To re cap, we had the temp increasing in the fridge and was pointed to the above fix.

I have though, not contacted Bosch, as a defrost in April cured the problem……yet it is coming back! The fridge temperature is rising with no change in activity.

Is there anything I should know from the experts here to quote to BSH so they don’t try and fob me off when they come to fix it?

Should I let it get warmer before I call them, it is definately warmer/not as cold as when it was defrosted?

    Thanks,
had a look at the LEC site for a medical ward fridge, this may be OK but pricey.

Not sure which “other” post you are refering to.
    Could this be another thread?
