Average estimated time spent composing a post = 3 mins (and seeing some of the lengthy posts supplied, 3 mins may be a gross underestimate)

Approx length of time (just) spent typing posts so far = 344 hours

    That’s approximately 43, 8 hour days (so far) 😯

    What about Dave?

He’s going to hit 10,000 posts soon 😯

I’m sure that is the normal rate, but I’m not working for nothing. I might as well go and push tolleys around spazda car park.

I just put on a mark-up (usually around £75) that makes it worthwhile selling machines. And for that, we break our balls for the customers satisfaction! 😯

If they want to go to the shed for cheaper prices, they can have the cheaper service too.

How many times have we discuss putting value into the market? If anything is sold on price, in 10 years time the only shop left will be T*sscos, and every appliance will be Chinese. 🙁

Of course you don’t need a W/D. That method of drying is probably quicker! 😉

I recommend the Bosch/Siemens to my customers. But before that, like most engineers, I say…

    Don’t get a washer/dryer!

    Bosch – WVT1260
    Siemens – WXD1260

Ps. If your having a look at them two, spot the difference.

Let’s say you buy a B*sch for £200. £235 after VAT. Plus 12{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} is £265. Which is pretty dire, unless your going to charge for delivery, installation etc, and make some money on that.

There’s no point in running a business like a charity, unless your TMS

That depends on who fits the spares.

I do that job for £120ish, include the spares (bearings and shaft) and VAT.

But I’m sure that price can vary upwards or downwards, depending on who does it.

Ps. Iadom, are Credas covered by Hotpoints five year parts guarantee?

Shall we turn this into the ‘welcome back Martin’ thread?

Indeed. At a guess, the teeth from inside of the timer cam (green discish thing) have sheered off. This part, can be bought separate from the timer.

It’s just which bit you need? The cam? The cam bush?

It’s a tricky job to do as well 😕

    Power off first! :zap:
