No, they’re made in the EU 😉 That could be Turkey, Solvakia, Portugal; I’m not sure about that particualr model 😕

But they’re all designed in Germany! That’s the important bit, as machines are built by robots these days.

    Ahh, no! 😛

If you buy a cheap Bosch…

…you’ll get a piece of crud with a BSH sticker on it 😕 However, if you are buying the (very) expensive Bosch, then they are similar to the Siemens, but don’t come with 5/10 year guarantees, like the Siemens do 🙄

    Swings + roundabouts?

    I’d go for that too!

Or out of the three you’ve selected, I’d do the Bosch.

Re: Buying a new washing machine

If your just washing once a week, a machine that cheap will last you a while 🙄

To get an acceptable level of quality, you need to spend over £300!

“To get what you pay for!” is very true when it comes to domestic applainces.

Ahh…Sorry, I read this too quick and thought that you meant the reset stat 🙄

I could tell you price for the element, but I need to check that you are sat down first 🙁

Goatboy comes from the infamous Bill Hicks performance. Those who know, give me a smile and tell me how funny that performance is. Those that don’t, need an explanation.

    I’ll try and post a link 😉

    Re: Morphy Richards Ecovac 1600

These vacs are extremely hard to get spares for, as it’s a Chinese vacuum 😕

I spoke to the countries biggest spares supplier about getting parts for these vacuums 2 weeks ago. They said that only 6 different spare part are available 🙁

I think the exteral hose was available, but the interal hose (little one on the bottom that I needed) was not!

IME it’s probably more like the dryer motor that’s collapsed 🙁

But it’s available as a spare, of course.

    Unplug the machine before investigating!

The last Sebo I got was £250.

I’m not sure about the Oreck.

Because of the location of my shop, I only tend to cruddy little things for £50 – £75 🙁

Re: Heavy duty upright vacuum cleaner recommendations

The Sebo are very good (and expensive 😕 ) vacuums. Especially for commerical situations.

I’d also recommend an Oreck, though these don’t come with the attachments, but they are very light-weight.

    Re: Questions

I’ve just demonstated my first Ise (blind), and I came back with a few technical questions, that the customer asked me, and I buffed my way though 😕

    1. Does the spin reach 1500 revs on the spin only program?

and 2. What is the spin speed on the synthetics program?

As it is 5 ‘o clock on a Friday, there no hurry for the answers whatsoeva!

Ps. Goatboy Senior just installed his first one too, and he said he was impressed 😀 😀 😀
