ParticipantI wish i was as lucky dave , just boggles the mind why all units are not fitted with some sort of safety feature , time the water was isolated , floor is pretty much ruined đ
As i said i normally wouldn’t have even bothered to reuse this machine but it was brand new and has now ended up in the skip after barely more than 10 washes if that !
Never again will i trust a cheap brand , it was filling even when off so deffo valve im told as i said i had no confidence in the unit after the fault so didn’t want to risk something else going wrong especially with wood flooring. Lesson learned about positioning of isolation valves too. Hope my story helps folk in some way.

ParticipantDont think a Miele is a magic bullet , yes built better than most but the quality of all machines have really gone downhill compared with 10+ years ago , so good luck , my mums miele lasted 18 years and was still going strong when she upgraded to a larger drum , these new miele’s i wouldn’t bet on them lasting half as long.

no beeping or flashing lights just that pan symbol light on and nothing happens when i press buttons , electrolux wanted ÂŁ150 for a repair with a 3 month warranty and ikea said t&c’s dont cover it , despite electrolux saying they wouldn’t come out during covid for any repairs. Wouldn’t mind bloody same machine has gone up by ÂŁ90 at ikea as it is ! so if i can get a second hand board or it could be somewhere else then ill try it , dave could i try unplugging the ribbon cable with power on and then switch off and plug in , as it seems the logic is just stuck or frozen ?

ParticipantYeah sorry Dave , it is 4 years technically but was bought 5 years ago due to kitchen install taking so long to start so only had 4 years use , been on phone to Electrolux who have my record but won’t budge despite it not being used for that first year it’s now out of warranty sadly
Gokhk
ParticipantYeah mine is past the warranty from what I know Dave
Gokhk
ParticipantWhere do I find the pnc number Dave ? I can only see a product number which is 911 535 036
Gokhk
ParticipantRight you are dave , Electrolux it is
attached are images of label and a stock image of lights , my one just the pan light is on and no matter what I do nothing registers

https://ibb.co/2vWqDn4Even if I know comparable PCB for Electrolux then I can look at cost and see if it’s worth it
cheers

Dave
Not that I know of Dave , it doesnt register any button presses , tried unplugging, Resetting using button combos
just displays a red light on first program and that’s it , I know it’s made by whirlpool so I’ll try get the serial and model number but again any pointers would be much appreciated , as I’ll try save it from landfill if I can
Gokhk
ParticipantI’m sure you can use a chip reader (ali express) and dump the hex contents (firmware) then reflash , you might have to just check to match individual machine serial if that’s in file but bar that can’t see too many other variables.
it’s a real specific use case so might be a bit tricky , good luck mate will require some micro soldering and firmware edits

ParticipantThanks for the update nice to know your hard work paid off

Participanthave you checked the bushes ? also perhaps a resistance reading to ensure the motor is good and not on its way out ? Im sure dave will have better ideas but there the 2 basic ones i can think off , could also be a faulty taco , just take my thoughts with apinch of salt as im no expert just a someone who is a little technical emphasis on little
