ParticipantThanks for the diagram. I remember when I first attended the customer said it all worked fine. She wiped the front panel which is a touch panel and after that the fan didn’t work and when I checked the element was not working either. So is it possible she has somehow shorted the timer display selector bit? And maybe it’s telling the oven to do weird things? As I can hear one of the relays slightly humming. Honestly this one has me stumped. I have checked everything for earth leakage and all is good but no power at fan motor or fan element.

ParticipantSorry it was NOV 2020 and yeah it’s strange because you used to feel the heat manifold get very hot but this is not the case on this one and its heavily insulated. Are the blower motors a usual cause on these? Can’t think of what else would cause the problem.

ParticipantThank you. Applied.

ParticipantI have put the powder in myself in small quantities with same result. Gets rid of most but leaves solid lumps.

ParticipantThe Tap symbol is the appliance way of saying fault encountered but no way of fi ding out what without running through a quick wash and seeing where it fails. 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time I find the heat pump to be the cause. This can be tested with the module removed just enough room to get test probes in and check for continuity.

ParticipantI come across this so often and struggle to find a suitable oven to fit with a ‘cut away’ to allow for the gas pipe. Beko seem to be a safe choice with their Diagonal cutaway at the top ro allow for pipework but they are also a quite a deep oven and as found out yesterday a cabinet that has been badly installed with a 54cm depth just isn’t good enough and turned a simple install into a sweaty nightmare

ParticipantI once got contacted by a company apparently based in London and as agreed went out to repair the oven which was reported as no heat which as engineers we all love those words I’m sure you will agree
The appliance was an old an Neff oven, and after chatting to the elderly lady there she told me they initially wanted to charge a fixed repair fee of £375 but after she kept disagreeing with them they dropped to £175.
After hearing this I made sure my invoice charged them £176 so at least they made a loss the cheeky bu££ers. They did question my charges but I itemised it and stuck to my guns and got paid. Blocked their number after payment received
So what i am getting at is there are too many companies out to rip customers off and make the industry look bad.
Please don’t judge me for my pricing I was just trying to make a point with them.

ParticipantI will attend an E15 and find the smallest amount of water but can rarely identify the source of the leak. I have found a few times the waste hose seal failed where it enters the water matrix on the side to be the cause. But other times when running it I can’t see a single drop of water and obviously don’t want to mislead the customer by guessing at faulty parts as cost of them is slowly increasing. I can spot the plastic base faults and easy to see the base has expanded and food waste sitting on top of seals with very dirty water in base activating the flood switch.
But I need some ideas where to look when plastic base isn’t at fault and no obvious leaks to be seen.
Any help greatly appreciated

ParticipantRe: Indesit washing machine widxl126
Believe me I advised BER at the outset but they insisted on the repair as they considered it less hassle. But have defo written it off now as I fed up going back to it lol
