ParticipantRe: Premier Range Oven.
Hi there,
Cheap indeed and from China.
This company are based in the Rossendale valley and import directly from the Far East.
No big brand after sales back up at these prices.

Hi there,
Unfortunately integrated appliances are a lot more expensive than free standing ones.
You could try the following company who sometimes have good prices on new excess stock and discontinued models.

ParticipantRe: Running Costs of Hob – Ceramic v Induction
Not too sure but I do know that induction hobs are usually between 70/78{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} efficient, which is better than ceramic and gas.
Safer with kids as the hob does not get as hot as a normal ceramic.

ParticipantRe: Running Costs of Hob – Ceramic v Induction
Hi there,
Easy one to answer…
Induction is the most efficient hob on the market and is even more efficient than a gas hob. The reason for this is that there is no heat transfer through the glass and the contents of the pan are heated by a magnetic field.
The hob only works when it is put into contact with a special pan and switches off automatically when it is removed from the zone.
The other benefit is that you cannot burn liquids on the glass as it does not get too hot which means that the glass will not mark.
The best but not cheap.

Hi there…
The product is a very old Stoves product and I reckon that you will struggle to get parts to fix it.
Bernstein bought this OEM product from Stoves but they no longer sell appliances so they will not have spares.
You could try Glen Dimplex Home Appliances who now own Stoves and the spares contact number is 0871 222 2506.
Last resort buy a new one from Stoves/New World.

ParticipantRe: prima hoods
Depends which one in particular…
Most of them are made by Tecnowind and I reckon ISDAL will have parts.
If it is a curved glass then it maybe supplied by either Tecnowind or Cata but again ISDAL should have them.

ParticipantRe: Howdens appliances
Howden are not part of MFI any more.
Limited range of appliances but quality is much better than it was.
Own brand ovens/hobs/dishwashers from Beko.
Hoods from Cata.

ParticipantRe: CDA Appliances, Any Good?
Hi there,
Of course Bosch are much better appliances but the premium is significant.
CDA do offer a 5 yr parts guarantee as standard and the majority of their integrated appliances are manufactured by Whirlpool, so are pretty good.

ParticipantRe: Blackberry smart phone
Hi Steven,
I run a Blackberry Pearl which does all the stuff bar the sat nav.
Fantastic phone and really quick at sending emails and also quick to load when you switch it on.
Not that durable though…..We have 3 of these phones and have had 5 replacements since March 07 🙁
Don’t know if the curve is any better.
