    Re: Range Cookers which one?

Another good choice would be Britannia.

The majority of their range cookers have an ‘A’ rating for energy efficiency. 😮

    Re: Capel dishwashers

My understanding is that AIS carry stock of the seals.

The other thing about these dishwashers is that they must be level.

They are talking about modifying the machine by taking one of the plastic legs off and positioning the remaining leg to the centre, which will stop the door buckling.

I am unsure when this modification will be done.

To the best of my knowledge DRL do not carry stock but draw direct into a logistics company based in the north west from either distributors or from manufacturers direct.

The main problem for Brandt is their high manufacturing costs in France.

It will be interesting to see if they start sourcing products from the Fagor owned Mastercook factory in Poland, where labour is as cheap as chips 😆

    Re: Capel dishwashers

We only took over Bernsteins outstanding orders and have not placed anymore orders for them.

We have also had issues with the Brandt machines (compressed door seals = leaks) but they now seem o.k.

Brandt are also big in OEM in the UK and supply the following companies-

MFI, Iceland, PABL, CDA, Caple, Butler and Stoves.

By the way Fagor did a fair bit of OEM but have now lost most of it.

    Re: Marriage?

My information is that the two legal teams are still tying up the deal.

As an importer we have dealt extensively with both companies and have to say that Fagor are hard work.

It will be interesting to see how this one pans out because Elco Brandt is far larger in the UK than Fagor

    Re: Capel dishwashers

PABL are not buying dishwashers from Haier but we are starting to buy cooling from them.

The service request rates on the Haier models were way to high for us to keep buying from them.

Caple dishwashers are whirlpool models I think.

That last report tells us most about them.

The dishwasher factory is brand spanking new.

Expect big things from these boys.

They are looking to employ a UK sales manager, which shows that they take this market seriously.

The Midea machine appears on the face of it to be a very good machine but we are only just seeing the first containers arrive from China.

I believe that Baumatic are using the same machine.

    Re: Homark

I cannot comment on the rates you are getting from EAC or AIS, I guess it is a free market. Am I right that you get better rates from companies like CDA?

With regards to the Haier dishwasher we, PABL, have just dropped them and will only be buying dishwashers from Brandt and Midea.

    Re: NEB GLASS GASHOB

Neb is now no longer available in the UK.

It was a B&Q own label.

The supplier was a company called Nardi.

You could try the following http://www.white-westinghouse.co.uk.

They have gas on glass hobs from the same supplier.

For your information the UK subsiduary of Teba (Worldco) has also gone into receivership.

Teba in Turkey are back in business but only at about 30{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} capacity.

    Yes,

Existing products for these three brands are with expert.

Some new products have been changed to AIS.
