    Re: new kitchen..appliance origin query

    Hi there,

Maurice Lay are no different to CDA and just source products from various OEM/branded manufacturers. PABL do not supply them anything at all.
Ovens and hobs all from Meneghetti Italy/Whirlpool cooling/dishwashers – Not Haier/Washing machine and Washer dryer from Fagor though.

    Hi Zleon,

One thing to note is that the low cost 300 wide ones are 1 temperature only, if you want 2 zone then generally you have to opt for a wider model.

But could you fill a 600 wide one?

    Cheers

Matsui hoods are Chinese and Rangemaster hoods are Italian.

    HI Zleon,

Yes the 300mm wine coolers you mention from CDA/Caple are both from the same Chinese factory – They are fine but there are models in the Caple range with LED lights inside rather than a bulb, which looks better.

Guttman hoods are excellent quality wth high extraction rates but they are pricey.

    Hi there,
Sorry Brian but definitely not a Delonghi one
I would suggest that it is manufactured by Terim Spa.
Servicing used to be by AIS but it may have been moved to ISDAL.

    Re: Hotpoint Close Blythes Bridge?

    10 May 2007

Indesit Company has announced its proposal to cease all activities at its Blythe Bridge factory in Stoke-on-Trent, and to move them to the company’s existing facilities in mainland Europe.

The manufacturer has commenced a formal 90 day consultation period with its employees and their trade union representatives at the site.

Over the last three years, Indesit Company has invested £11million in the Blythe Bridge site, but a continued reduction in the market for freestanding and built-in double oven cookers in the UK, the mainstay of this factory’s production, has offset this investment.

Despite further efforts and the introduction of added efficiency measures to be more competitive, this proposal has now been submitted.

Indesit Company is in consultation with trade union representatives and the workforce on the Blythe Bridge site, and will continue to seek ways to mitigate the effects of this proposal on all its employees.

    Re: Another joke.

A businessman enters a tavern, sits down at the bar, and orders a double martini on the rocks. After he finishes the drink, he peeks inside his shirt pocket, then orders the bartender to prepare another double martini. After he finishes that it, he again peeks inside his shirt pocket and orders the bartender to bring another double martini. The bartender says, “Look, buddy, I’ll bring ya’ martinis all night long – but you gotta tell me why you look inside your shirt pocket before you order a refill.” The customer replies, “I’m peeking at a photo of my wife. When she starts to look good, I know it’s time to go home.”

    Hi Jock,

The Homark brown oven is no longer available in the UKand the only place where you can buy Homark Built In ovens is Argos.

The only problem is that they only have stainless steel models in stock.

    Hi there,

Arrow was a brand name used by Teba (Turkey) for a B&Q own label in the UK.

Try searching for Teba and you may find more information.
