ParticipantThanks all
I’ve looked at some YouTube videos about how to tell that it is the bearings but it doesn’t fit what they’re saying. Please can anyone confirm that it does sounds like bearings?

Thanks. I’ll have a look at that one. I’d seen the WAU28T64GB, specs seem similar as does price, any ideas on the difference or which is the preferable choice

Hi Daveexactly that!
switch seems to work if held
can I just superglue it back into position?

ParticipantRe: Bosch WAQ28461 grinding/rattling noise
Thanks Martin
I drained it and inspected as you suggested but couldn’t see anything.
Called an engineer who initially retrieved a button, but it still made the noise, when he looked in the pump from underneath the machine he found a 2p coin in there, which would explain the noise and also the occasional failure to drain.
Sounds as good as new now.

Thanks for the advice
Yes, you can ask why a fridge freezer and a separate freezer…I did when she said.
She has previously had a chest freezer in the garage, but this house does not afford easy access to the garage without shifting the car. As the car only gets used 2/3 days a week, she doesn’t want to have to move the car every time she needs Oven chips.
Initially seems a strange request but when she explains it, I see why

Ah, that explains that then.
What are your thoughts on the fridge freezer, freezer, dishwashers oven and hob please folks.
Bosch all the way?

Hi Martin
Perhaps not “made in China” then, but I’m convinced I read something on here about a cut off point in the Bosch range of Washers where the product quality went up.
Perhaps I’m cracking up!

ParticipantRe: AEG Lavamat 74620 Water Distributor
Update for anyone interested.
It didn’t work
Seems to go through the motions, but the clothes are still soapy at the end.

Thanks
I’ll leave them off and ask her to try a full cycle
I don’t mind if I damage the machine, it was going to be replaced anyway, I just don’t want to create a dangerous situation or flood the place.

ParticipantRe: Simple and reliable Integrated Washer
Hi Don
Thanks for the quick reply.
I feel a bit of an idiot…I’ve just read my post back and I haven’t made it clear what I need.
What I meant to say was that I am looking for a built in (integrated) washing machine only (not dryer).
In the post that I linked to, you recommended the Neff W5420X0GB (which I think is a washer only?)
Just wondered if that recommendation still stood?
Cheers
