ParticipantRe: Are you busy?
Not too bad here in the sunny North West. Booked up 2 days in advance at the mo but its not as busy this week as it has been for the rest of January. Last week before payday and the January credit cards bills are looming large I think.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Cooker Door hinge – 948904406-02
Thanks Bazza. Is it part no 5610437047?
It just doesn’t show it on the parts diagram as including it and I can’t see it on Connect’s photo of the door.
I’ve never know a hinge not to be available separately before.grooster
ParticipantRe: Zanussi Cooker Door hinge – 948904406-02
Many thanks for your help Ken.
According to connect and qualtex that part number is a drop down hinge. The part I need is the side opening top hinge.Cheers

ParticipantRe: LED lighting in kitchens ……
I agree. Its not LED’s that are the problem, its the quality and wattage of them. I’ve just had to replace some in a light fitting in my kitchen, they were too bright. I originally put 5w warm white in and have replaced with 3w. LEDs have come along way in the last 5 years. I live in a new house and the builders now put LEDs in all fitting as standard and they are more than good enough.
The worst to deal with for me is where a customer has fitted the led tape (strip) lights underneath the cupboards, stuck to the plinths. You can’t disconnect them. They look good but are a PITA to deal with.grooster
ParticipantRe: Samsung WF1114XBD/XEU Error 3E
Thanks for your help on this guys.
I’m going to tell him to get in touch with Samsung. It’s either the motor, which is guaranteed or an obsolete pcb? Not worth the petrol to tell him. I’ll give him a call in the morning. As a side note, can they obsolete a part after 2 years? Is this legal?grooster
ParticipantRe: Masterpart
I have to say, I have accounts at Connect, Qualtex, Masterpart and Homespares, (BSH for individual items) I do look around for the best prices for every part I need, but connect and Qualtex usually do come up trumps on most prices and definitely availability. I keep trying to give Masterpart and Homespares a chance but their stock levels are just not good enough. So at the end of the day, they can be a bit cheaper but if they don’t have it, they’re no good to me.
Qualtex and connect also deliver by DPD , which is by far and away the best courier we deal with in my experience. The DPD app tracks the progress of my parcel with email, sms updates so I know when and am going to get the parts and can book customers in accordingly.grooster

Sorry to bring an old topic up but i’ve just had a call from a customer with the very same fault code when he went into diagnostics. Its booked in for Tuesday but I was just wondering if you came up with a solution for the E63 fault.
Thanks

ParticipantRe: Jockey pulley burning out on Hotpoint/Indesit dryers
No I only use the gens. I can tell the difference in quality and for the difference in price it’s not worth it.
To be honest the question was has anybody else been out to these dryers since the recall. I’ve been out to two or three in the last few months and the wheels have gone. The one I went to this week told me they had hotpoint back a week after the recall was done, 2 months ago, and this was the one I replaced again.
I was just wondering if anybody has come across the same.grooster
ParticipantRe: Hoover VTC5911NB fault codes
It was outside, In a garage. Do you mean if it goes under a certain temperature it won’t work. It wasn’t that cold today, maybe 9 degrees outside but must have been warmer in the garage. What temperature do you start to have problems? Wow this is all new to me.
