I can get it to fill, say 1 time out of 5, but it still flashes up e8 so I’m pretty sure its not that.

Just out of interest can anybody tell me the part number for the thermistor on this machine. My local wholesaler is having trouble recognising it over the phone. Not surprising really, they usually have trouble recognising hotpoint brushes…

Yeah, i’ve had quite a few dodgy stats on the old type dishwasher, was quite a common fault. I wish these new machines used them instead of the thermistor, easy fault to trace.

I tipped the machine back to see if there was any water in the base as usual, but to no avail. I’ve had loads of these motors leak but not on this occasion.

Hi,

Just an update.
i’ve just been out to repair this machine. The fault code means that theres a fault with the pcb.
The motor had shorted out, blowing the tracking to the pcb.
One new motor and a quick repair to the tracking and bobs your uncle, working again and one happy lady.

Thanks for your help guys, i had a feeling that it might be the case that it was working ok.

Its just that i needed somebody that had more experience on these machines to clarify it. If theres an Electrolux expert out there or if somebody has the relevent discs (tds), if they could confirm this.

The problem i have is, that this is for an extended warranty firm and i have to get it right or i’ll have one awkward customer on my hands. Wouldnt bother if it was one of my private customers, i’d tell them what i know and if she didnt believe me she could get another opinion, but cant do this in this case, i need to know 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

If anybody has any more info, it would be appreciated.

Hi,

I thought the same, that it should put an error code on the machine, but the customer told me it just finishes the programme as normal but all the pots are not dryed and there is no heat.
Thought this was strange until i tested for heat and got nothing. When it shoud be heating i’m getting 2 lives at the heater.
