ParticipantRe: Zanussi wjd 1257 W
Thanks for the info. The machine is draining fine and there doesnt seem to be a problem with a blockage, not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure without looking, but the i got the machine working with the door open and it seems to have a very strong air flow.
Any idea what E20 is. Thats the error it flashes up with every time the dryer is used. E22 is the one it comes up with on diagnostic.
Also i could get the dryer to work using the timed drying function, but flashes E20 when using the automatic set times (ie store dry) function after a couple of minutes.
Thanks again
Nick

ParticipantRe: Zanussi FLE 1416W Error
Thanks for the help guys.
I checked the valves, they are both reading ok and both fill on the test sequence. I tested the main pressure switch and checked for blockages in the chamber, all was ok. I didnt check the smaller pressure switch (overfill), so it could be this.
Thanks again guys.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi IZ 16 S with an E33 error code
Just to update you on this call. I went back to the customers last week after reading all your advice and looked for the obvious pressure switch problems. BINGO, first thing i looked at – rubbed pressure pipe down the side of the cabinet.
Cheers for the help guys, its all about knowing the codes and this one i didnt know, but its now in my memory bank for next time.

ParticipantRe: Zanussi IZ 16 S with an E33 error code
Cheers for the reply Chris,
I’ll get back tommorrow if I can make a space and get it sorted.
The original fault that the lady had was that she would set it on a program, start it and leave it for a while and when she came back the programme has stopped at the original start time but left with water in. Obviously i’ve checked the pump emptying, it worked fine, but didnt try the pressure chamber/switches.
Thanks for your time.

ParticipantRe: “E90” on a zanussi washer
Cheers Kevin for the info.
Thats not exactly the news I was hoping for. I hate swapping these new boards and trying to config them.
Anyway thanks again for the info.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint df53. Motor seal/pipe
Cheers Dave,
It looks like the part i’m after, the only things thats confusing me is why are there 2 seals and one clip. The part i need has only one seal and one clip. All I can think is that the other seal goes somewhere else on the motor.
Thanks again

ParticipantRe: ‘Smelly’ Dishwashers?
My experience in living in a soft water area is that you still need to use the salt, maybe not as much, but you still need it. I have had many a customer complain about poor washing and the machine leaving grit inside cups. The grit eventually comes out through the water softening unit and into the wash after a few years without salt.
Every customer that i’ve had with this problem, has not used salt, and having revisited on other call outs, has always cured the fault.

ParticipantRe: Ariston Integrated D/W help?
Hi Martin,
I’ve had this a few times now with arsiton and indesit intergrated d/w’s. Theres no real easy way to get into these machines once the handles broken. Like you say the machines are always screwed in, so you cant release the latch from the top, like a freestanding one.
Most of the time i’ve managed to actually cut the handle away with a pair of wire cutters until i can see up into the mechanism then use a bit of stiff wire to pull the mech down and release. I’ve only been to one machine that i couldnt get this to work on and i had to say to the customer that the facia would have to be broken to get into it.
Another great design from indeshit.
Hope this helps

ParticipantRe: Zan DWS949
Yeah, it is definatetly the motor. I’ve had loads.
A big housing estate near my way, fit this type of dishwasher as standard (intergarated version). It’s usually one of the sets of impellors that are broken on the motor but sometimes theres nothing noticable, but I always try the motor first.

ParticipantIve had this problem a few times now and by swapping the matrix down the left side of the cabinet seems to have cured them all so far. Its quite a fiddley job but its worked for me.
