Have a read of this article, it may help. http://tinyurl.com/y7vqyu
Exact model number is needed to be more specific but we are talking Indesit here, they are all ‘low end’ I’m afraid. 😥

😥 😳 😯 , anyone seen the weather forecast, no chance of rain I take it.? My daughter came back from Oz only last week from a 3 week holiday, the last five days should have been spent in Sydney but two days of monsoon conditions drove them back up the coast to Brisbane for a couple of days. Now look at it, wall to wall sunshine. 😡

Well that sort of ‘blatant misuse’ 😆 helps to keep us all in business. To be honest you have been very lucky, we see hundreds of customers who have left just one or two coins in, that have punched a hole clean through the outer drum or seriously damaged the heater. In most cases rendering the machine BER ( beyond economic repair ).

Remember, if you do change this machine and you or the ‘operator’ continue to neglect to check pockets then you may not be as lucky next time, even if your machine was a matter of weeks old, it would be classed as customer misuse, not covered by the gaurantee.

That said, its an impressive list, might I suggest a piggy bank as a viable alternative. 😀

If this is an accurate description then you really must get this machine seen to, don’t keep trying it. Remove the plug and get Hotpoint out. The serial number on the door incorporates a date code so the engineer will know exactly how old it is.

Re: Hoover HNWL7136 Washer Dryer – any good?

There are very few if any decent washing machines under £300 that are any good, let alone washer/dryers.

The Hoover machine is actually a Candy. 😥

If your friend pays £250 for that he will more than likely be replacing it in a very short time span, then they will have to fork out another £250+, quite apart from the very high possibilty of unreliabilty from the machine as well. I understand the financial constraints but in the longer term it pays to invest in a much better quality machine than that one.
I don’t advocate maintenance contracts but in this case they may need one if they buy this machine and subject it to ‘normal’ use.

Sounds like you need to remove and clean the float chamber. A bit of a fiddle but you will get water thrown onto the element as you say if you do not.

Not sure what you mean by ‘seal the condensor unit’ also by ‘bucket’ do you mean the water container?

I think one method of reset is to press and hold the Start/Cancel button for a few seconds until you get three beeps, then press and hold Start/Cancel & On/Off at the same time until you get three beeps. Usually works for me.

    Re: Hotpoint BW61P Washer/dryer help?

No problem, some door seals are very tight fitting to start with, the clamp just holds them in place, the seals on Hotpoint machines in the main require the seal clamp to be as tight as possible or they will leak.
