    Re: Football

Great goal from Southend, the pitch was a belter compared to the slag heap they had to play on in Copenhagen. Apart from Rooney and Ronaldo it was a second team, giving a second team performance. The significance and consequences of this result may become clearer at the end of the season. 😉

PS, We did win it last year but it is still a Mickey Mouse Cup.

Partfinder is not date code specific, you need to check on the control unit.
Fixing kit 1604977 required for either Anologue or Digi to fit FHP motor in place of GDA motor. Why not fit a new ARM 20 instead?

    Disaster in Barnsley

    An Appeal for Your Help

A major earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit in the early
hours of Tuesday morning. Epicentre: Barnsley, England.

News of the disaster was swiftly carried abroad by the town’s 35,000
racing pigeons, as victims were seen wandering around aimlessly muttering
    “f*****ell” and “chuffin-norah”.

    The earthquake decimated the
town, causing £30 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of
mementos from the Balearic Isles and the Spanish Costas were damaged
beyond repair. Three areas of historical burnt out cars were disturbed.

Many locals were woken up well before their Giro arrived. Radio Barnsley
reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered, still
trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had
    happened in Barnsley.

One resident, 15 year old mother of 3, Tracy Sharon Braithwaite said: “It
was such a shock, my little Chardonnay-Madonna came running into my
bedroom crying. The twins, Tyler-Morgan and Megan-Storm slept through it
all. I was still shaking when I was watching Kilroy the next morning”.

Locals were determined not to be scared and looting, muggings and car
    crime carried on as normal.

So far, whilst the British Red Cross has managed to ship 4000 crates of
Sunny Delight to the area to relieve the suffering of stricken locals,
rescue workers searching through the rubble have found large quantities
of personal belongings including, benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth
Duke at Argos, and bone china from Pound-stretcher.

    Can You Help….?
Please respond generously to our appeal for food and clothing
for the victims of this disaster.

Clothing is needed most of all, especially:

    · Fila or Burberry baseball caps

    · Kappa tracksuit tops (his or hers)

    · Shell suits (female)

    · White sports socks

    · Rock-Fort boots or any other product sold in Primark

Culturally sensitive food parcels are harder to put together, but your
    efforts will make a difference.
Microwave meals, tinned baked beans, ice-cream and cans of Colt 45 or
    Special Brew are ideal.

Please do not give anything that requires peeling.

    Remember:

    · 22p buys a biro for filling in compensation claims

    · £2 buys chips, crisps and a blue fizzy drink for a family of 9

    · £5 will pay for a packet of B&H and a lighter to calm a child’s nerves

Urgently required: Tinned whippet food. Bones for Jack Russells

Please do not send tents for shelter.
The sight of such posh housing will cause
discontent in the surrounding South Yorkshire communities.

This fitted kitchen company http://www.space-kitchens.co.uk are now trying to sell a kitchen to another relative, their brochure waffles on about TEKA, a German owned company, and Kuppersbusch are stated as being ‘German engineered’ . Is any of this stuff actually made in in Germany or is it all Chinese and Italian tat. ❓ Cannot believe they are offering 2 year warranties on these appliances, who does the service on them?

The plumbing they did for the sister in law is awful, loads of loose. floppy, quick fit plastic piping, the sort that you need three hands to unscrew or refit a fill hose to. 😥 Dishwasher outlet hose extended and looped under the units with a 2.5 metre length of hose lying in the cupboard.

25 years ago £200.00 got you a decent machine. Today it will get you another pile of throw away junk like the one you already have. £295 upwards and you will be starting to creep into ‘reasonable’ territory. £375 plus and you should then be getting something worth buying.

Washing machines and cars are basically old technology with a few electronic gizmos added. Still a drum, motor, heater, controls, pump etc. Still an internal combustion engine with a gearbox and a wheel at each corner. how much would it cost you to replace a car you bought 25 years ago. :rolls:

£100 plus is possibly to much to spend on a four year old Indesit dressed up as an Ariston.

It may be wise to see if we have someone in your area to check the machine out properly before you bin it. Check the link in my sig to see if there is anyone.

That just illustrates the problems we have with these Italian disasters. The error codes are at best a guide, at worst no use at all, glad you got it sorted.

The NTC is used to control the water temp, it doesn’t often fail on its own, broken or loose wiring or faults on the £80 + module are more likely 😥

Funny you should say that, there is still one local farmer who uses a horse & cart for milk deliveries.

I have a debit card but have used it only once in more than 20 years. I do use my credit card quite often though. I can still see cash & cheques being around long enough to see me to the end of my time in the trade.

As I have not advertised anywhere for over 20 years, nobody would see a Visa/Mastercard logo in the first place.

    Re: Ariston A1635 W/Machine Error 3

Three flashes signifies an NTC fault. On these ‘Indesit’ machines it could be one of several things causing that. As you have been moving the machine to clear the blockage you may have dislodged some wiring connections. The NTC or the control module could be faulty but with the mains plug removed I would check all the wiring to see if you have disturbed something.

Cash on the nail, or cheques. most weeks its 50/50. Had one or two rubber ones over the years but not that many, less than ten in almost 28 years. You develop a nose for the dodgy ones.

There are still ‘Tallymen’ doing the rounds up here though. 😀
