Re: Miele W828 rinse light flashing.

I checked the connections from the pins on the motor, I didn’t think about testing the wire harnis to the board mind, I was having one of them days where the day just didn’t go right, and I got to the point where I’d checked the usual fail points and now I’m here lol

Re: Miele W828 rinse light flashing.

    Thank you Dave,

I have checked the brushes to make sure they are contacting as I have had the same issue once that took me about 10-15mins to find out after replacing them so now I test all of them when I replace them.

Here is both sides of the board as requested no obvious signs of failure

Re: Miele W828 rinse light flashing.

Hi all, I have a customer who has a Miele W842, with the typical rinse light flashing, I have replaced the brushes, and looked at the fuse and replaced it along with the relay. This normally does work and I have done a few of these but not this time, still doing the same I’m guessing there is another fault on the board anyone able to help me out with this one?

    Thanks Ian

no i thought the capacitor was just there to provide an initial power which it has, it just wont spin faster. But if u think it is that then ill order one.

HI, thanks for your reply but unfortunatly it has an extra what i think is an overload with 2 tags next to the thermostat/thermistor u described. The wire colours dont match but that might not be so important, i have all black wires with coloured connectors 3 white, 3 black and 2 red.

    thanks IP

ok, looking from the left to the right across the front of the machine, the lights that are lit green all the time are numbers 1 and 2.

    Re: hotpoint BFI62

Ok, thanks for that info, water valve changed, no difference made to the machine, the heater element meggers all ok and theres no leaking to earth there. But machine still fills and then cuts out and runs the drain pump, still flashed the 2nd from left light. No leaks on the machine, overflow float is ok too.
Getting at a loss to think what can be wrong with this dishwasher now.
Any further help would be great.

    Thanks

    Phill
