Hi. Did you see the videos linked in this post?
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ight=ise10
I found them interesting when I was deciding whether to get an ISE10 (which I did, and am pleased I did).

dave-m – AFAIK no you can’t. ISE are not in Ireland and neither are their manufacturer Asko to get a similar Asko model. It is not just a case of shipping you one either as the whole ISE ethos is about support from independent engineers which will not be set up in Ireland.
Back to my ISE10. We have tried to be good and have bought Ariel powders (Bio & Colour) to use, other than for delicates where still use liquid and a dosing ball. We are finding occasionally that the powder does not wash out of the drawer fully. I guess the only solution is to dry out the drawer after each wash.

Hi Mister-Roy
We are (as you would hope!) continuing to have trouble free washing. The ISE10 is very easy to use. Cold washes are easy and the big 60 litre drum combined with high water level and slow spin down to 400 (or just rinse only if you want) means delicates are treated as such.
At the other end of the scale we were able to wash a summer tog rating kingsize feather duvet no problem. The winter tog one I would still take to the cleaners but the summer one washed fine.

ParticipantRe: ISE1607 Noise With Zanussi Dryer On Top
Hi David
I did a lot of research and for me it came down to a Miele W5740, which I was able to source from a known name supplier for £850 delivered, or the new ISE10 for £925 delivered AND installed and old item removed. You may have seen some of my posts, it took me a while but I decided on the ISE10 and I am pleased I did. But if that did not work out for you then the Miele seems the next best bet, especially if you get it before the end of the year as you will qualify for the 10 year promotion. No idea how noisy they are mind. I find the ISE10 fine, it is by no means silent on a 1600 spin, but is as smooth as you like.
Note that I don’t know if Miele would offer much support for stacking of a non Miele dryer on top of their washer, but I am only a punter. I do see they sell a stacking kit for £40 but apart from that can’t really comment further

(The ISE dryer that is made to match their washer comes with a stacking kit included).

Thanks Ken useful stuff. Did a bedding wash las t night, this thing is cavernous compared to the old Tricity Bendix. 😀

With my new ISE10 I have lots of choice on how I can set it up to wash. But I do not know when I would want to do certain things, and I wondered if there was any merit in ISE/UKW doing some user tips and tricks to accompany the manual? Eg here are some questions/thoughts:
- When might we want to select the High Water Level option?
If I have super stained clothes and want to use the Super Wash button, should I put some detergent in the pre-wash drawer (and should it just be the same as in the main drawer). Should I split the total detergent between each compartment, rather than add extra?
Another brand offers a bunch of pre-set programs, including a Shirts program which apparently reduces the need for ironing. It says use a Max Load of 2 Kg, then it washes at 60 C, Washes using a “Gentle rhythm”, whatever that is, uses High Water Level on the Wash cycle and the Rinse cycle, does 2 rinses, does not do an interim spin but does a final spin at only 600. It seems to me I should get pretty much the same if I use the ISE Easycare setting, but up the temp to 60 C and reduce the spin to 800? I will try that anyway.
There may be other set ups you could recommend based on your experience that may be obvious to you but not me eg for sheets use this, for pillows use this, towels this etc etc. Or it may be you say it is a load of guff and just stick to the programs offered. 😀
Is there any more info on how the Auto function fuzzy logic works and what range it operates in (temp/spin speeds?)
A Pre-soak function is not something I missed on my old machine, and so it was not important to have on the ISE10. But with the stop-start button on the Asko would it be easy to do a soak if you wanted? Just by turning it off at the right point, leaving an hour, then turning back on. But I am not sure if you could easily tell when to turn off, and if the machine would re-start where it left off? Just wondering out loud on this really.
Some of this may well be in the manual, so apologies in advance. Just have a curious nature.

A Magnum Ice Cream without the ice cream (ie the wooden bit left after you’ve eaten it).
I imagine any narrow pointy thing that fits would operate the manual opening.

Washing machine now overfills slighty but works perfectly.I measured the frequency with a multimeter, no need for an oscilloscope.
😕 😀 😕
I should have studied harder at science & engineering!

Priceless 😀
& great to hear you’ve kept it going at a reasonable cost.

Thanks guys, an endless source of knowledge. Well, about appliances and things, anyways. 😀

Re dishwasher, ajsdoc is referring to something that I originally mentioned in my post above his, but then moved to the website thread. Thought I’d just mention that so people did not think you were randomly throwing out thoughts. 🙂

ParticipantRe: New Look ISE webiste
Well done ISE on the new website, a bit of tweaking to do no doubt but looking good.
Have you plans to reintroduce a dishwasher (exchange rate, certification etc permitting)? Asko seem even more highly regarded for them than their laundry products.

Not checked in for a little bit here. r600a thanks for the comment that you would service E7 for repairs. This thread to me was more about getting a machine serviced, not whether it was an insurance warranty or non-insurance warranty, which has been addressed in detail already. I think as quickwash has said, the OP mumof6 must all be sorted or we would have heard back here again.
The new website with all the latest info as mentioned by don is great, these things do, I know, take time to get sorted. Any one looking to buy now has all the info they could reasonably want on the dealer network, products, and warranty basis. Well done ISE.

kwatt wrote:Are you just searching on repairs@ to find a repairer? It’s the only thing I can think you mean from your comment.
There are no London postcodes without cover, most with multiple repairers. Many of whom elect not to be listed on repairs@ some, not on the ISE site. That’s their choice as they are independent businesses and I presume that they have their reasons for that but, what they are, you’d have to ask them and not me.
K.
Hi. Yes, I did a search on my post code here
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … whitegoods
and no repairers came up for me. As a niche brand I was just trying to see there was support. Has to be said, Ron at Ron’s Repairs is brilliant though, and I would not go anywhere else, it is just more if he were not to be around.
All the best.
