Re: ISE10 Washing Machine repair needed

As a Londoner with a no warranty (but thankfully fine, touch wood etc) ISE10, I just wondered if the independents were still able to help you out with a repair?

Re: ISE Appliances cease trading-who deals with warranty cla

So the Trust Fund for warranty repairs in the event of this happening was just a lie/wishful thinking to keep sales going? Well I hope the directors have run off Directors & Officers Liability insurance in place in that case.

I am really sorry for the employees but a previous statement on the other thread by you stated “As the parent company, UK Whitegoods Limited would become the scheme administrator automatically and assume all responsibility”. Hopefully at best all is academic if my machine keeps going or at worst parts are at least available.

ISE Appliances cease trading-who deals with warranty claims?

The announcement on the ISE site is not dated so I am not sure when they ceased trading as stated below:

    ISE News

It is with great sadness that ISE has sadly been forced to cease trading due to a number of factors.

We hope that the ISE business will find new owners in 2015 and continue under new ownership but presently we are afraid that circumstances have forced us into a position from which there is no alternative but to take the actions that have been taken.

In the interim period there are no staff in the ISE business to process any requests for any purpose

This thread here post296084.html?hilit=ise{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}20warranty#p296084 talked about the ring fenced trust monies. Hopefully there will be a statment soon about who to contact as the comment “there are no staff in the ISE business to process any requests for any purpose” is not encouraging…

ps Hope all the people inolved are ok.

Good to hear being sorted as I read that ISE have ceased trading (says an ISE10 owner)

Had our ISE10 3 years and very happy. Was a toss up between Miele and ISE but wanted to support the ISE ethos and a local supplier/repairman (although troubke free since bought).

    Re: Gone and Done It

Thanks for your feedback. Love the ISE10 does what it says on the tin no fuss. Seems solid as a rock. It was between that and a Miele at the time. If/when after 10 years there is a problem we should be able to get the ISE10 serviced or repaired economically which swung it for us.

Hi interested in your feedback. Have an ISE10 washer which is great and has room for this on top. But we manage with radiators and a heated drying rack at the moment (can beuntidy mind!).

Re: ISE AW23 – Cleared for lift off

Our 22 month old AW23 has been making the noise of a plane taking off since not long after we got it, which is a big disappointment in itself.

    However, it has kept going.

Recently this has got much worse, it sounds like everything inside the cabinet is being thrown around

Why did you not call out an engineer at the start? 😕

The way ahead is with less detergent, there will be no impact on cleaning or the machine. Asko are still testing, but it looks cured for good. Our water is so soft we need about a seventh of the detergent on a normally soiled load.

So thank you so very much Ken. You have a lot to be proud off. ISE do have the super customer service that is advertised take it from me!!

    Best Regards,

    Oliver.
Glad to hear you made progress. It sounds like even in London with hard water we could use a lot less than the recommended doses (have switched to Ariel powder since we got the ISE10). We are using “less” but not a measured amount at all.EDIT – Just read p2mor’s thread. Guess we will try 50-60ml as our standard detergent amount and see how we go, with less if a small load as the auto sensing thingy will use less water? Does thaty seem about right?

Re: ISE10 1607w in the house!

Belated note to say 10 year warranty certificate was safely received a few weeks ago 😀 .

Happy camper still. Had a bit of vibration noise, being lazy/forgetful I PMed Kwatt around 11pm one evening who replied (the same night) saying check the filter and sure enough a few things were lurking in there 😳 . Should have read the manual (or thought for a second!).

A small note on usability. As you fortunately can change the temp and spin speeds (within parameters) you need to check the settings are as you want them before lift off, if you have different people using the machine.

I never said which was best. However having an ISE10 and a Miele Little Giant PW6065 I can easily compare.

As you say there is a big price difference, so much so I don’t think it is fair to keep comparing them as you are doing on various threads. Little Giant c£2890 or so and a 1 year commercial warranty (not sure about residential) ISE 1607W £899 and 3 year commercial warranty, 10 residential. You would not compare an £18,000 Toyota MX5 against a £55,000 Porsche Cayman would you (or a RAV4 against a Rangerover).

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I know you know your stuff, and spent your own money on the ISE10 and you are pleased with it (like I did/am). I just think any Miele comparisons should be against a similar priced model not a commercial market one to be fair to ISE. 🙂

Enjoying trouble free washing still

Anyone have a clue as to what is done differently on the ISE10 Colour/Whites wash and the Normal wash?

The chart in the manual for 60 degree wash chart with same rinses and spin speed shows

    Colour/Whites 1.40hrs 60 litres water
    Normal 2.15hrs 65 litres water

Not bothered about the 5 litres but what is being done differently?

IMO ise have done what they could when they actually heard of the OP problem.

The OP first posted in some desperation on this forum on 24th November 2010. That was the time for someone at ISE to make it their job in life to find out who or what the problem was, and fix it or sort a loan machine if it could not be fixed…all the other comments don’t help address that, unfortunately.

Fortunately, I have every faith in my local supplier and know that I would never be left in that position.

This is all a bit irrelevant to the poor old OP who’s washing machine failed in October 2010. I do hope her machine has been repaired – If not why can’t a local ISE agent sort out and put in a loaner?
