ParticipantRe: Door Hinge / Spring Problems, Whirlpool DW621/2BR
The usual part to go on these is the plastic connector between the hinge and the spring, part has been obsolete for a few years now.

It has water in the base, dry it out and run a program then look for leaks.
Most of these faults are caused by the customer…..

ParticipantRe: temperature probe
On the fluke it will give an average temp so I just open the door point it at the bottom, both sides and the back to get a reading, I also have a Metrahit 16i with a PTC probe and when I have used both the difference in the readings in negligible.

If you fancy an infrared one I just bought a couple of these

I have been comparing them against my wired probes and they are spot on for accuracy.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool 3LSC8255EQ1 Motor
Hi Barry,
I cannot find your exact model number but have found model 3LSC8255 and the motor for this is 481936158117
IIRC it is the same motor in all the US top loaders.HTH

AMS wrote:So what are you going to do then John?
simple, nothing….
Both these appliances are fitted to boats that are due to be shipped to an agent in the USA in the next couple of months. Parts for these will not be available for months in the UK so the easiest way to solve it is for the agent in the USA to get the local F&P guys out who should have stock of the main controllers.
two jobs closed and completed 😀

The appliances are the correct ones as the boats are being shipped to the USA, I Looked at these this morning and they had been tested on a big generator, it was set for 60hz but it looks like the voltage was at 220v. Both dishwashers have blown control boards.

ParticipantRe: one for all the super smart sparkies on here
Thanks Spimps,
I know the dishwasher is 120v 60hz and the supply is 230v 50hz so I will check out the transformer specs in the morning.

The names are made up by whoever owns the site, I saw a few posts on there and they were posts from P45, myself and martin that had new user names attached.
I did not see a single post where he has left the original username on it.

Hi Tony,
Had the same problems with both my terminals, one they sorted with a software update but the other is getting swapped over as I probably get one successful transaction in 10
