    On these machines if there aint enough water in machine the flow through the heater the heater wont activate the press sw on the top of the heater resulting in no heat, could just a simple blockage causing it.

    The 1st 3 n/o’s of the serial n/o will let you know how old roughly it is ie= 306 indicates made in june 2003 as 202 indicates made in feb 2002, also if not spinning no and drum runs smoothly could be something simple like needing a belt.

    If it is a double built in oven the Hotpoint is a Creda derived double oven as Indesit dont do doubles as a rule also the Indesit double oven is good value as it is realy a Creda made double hope this helps.

    Part n/o’s req are C00052513 UPPER R/H LOWER L/H
    C00052586 UPPER L/H LOWER R/H
    There were 2 types of hinges used on these fridges after april 1977 these ones were used as your ser n/o indicates it was made in june 1997 i would ssume these should do contact Ariston and you should be sorted.

    You would have noticed a hot smell coming from the back off freezer as the compressor was overheating due to no airflow from cndensor fan, also the sides of the freezer would be getting warm this ponts to condensor fan failure if the fuse bows the motor should be replaced contact http://www.theservicecentre.co.uk part 2600986

    Think you will find water as filled the base from somwhere causing float sw in base to reset hope this helps.
