Re: smeg stx 1 e3 error

Normal fill level is up to salt cap nut. Sounds like wash pump is not working. Gives E3 error because water is not sprayed against sensor in door.

the hv pcb is at rear of appliance near compressor. To access The dispenser pcb take 2 screws out of base of dispenser, behind drip tray. Then slide the dispenser down and forward to remove, however if the appliance is fully clad in st/steel it may be impossible to remove without damaging cladding and/or dispenser

I agree Lee, we’ve had a few jobs passed from bg, which they’ve been trying to fix for 5-6 months. Quite a few maytag sbs which were “unrepairable”. 2 had o/c defrost heaters, 2 had incorrectly configured pcb’s, 1 compressor seized, all straightforward fixes for us! I asked the lady at bg why not send us the calls first, save months of aggro from customers!!

Incidentally, while I was fixing a range cooker, customer mentioned that her D/W had been out of action for almost 6 months, bg had fitted pcb but still dead. I had a quick look, there was no neutral to appliance from spur – plugged it into a socket and it worked fine – never was a fault on appliance. She rang and cancelled policy before i’d left :rotl:

A fault in the refrigeration system, i.e. problem with compressor/pipework/restrictions/loss of refrigerant etc. These are not diy fixable

Shatz, i would stop obsessing over thermistors – I have fixed plenty of beko f/fs. Almost never thermistors, as stated in other thread it is most likely a system fault. Good luck

NTC on freezer evaporator coil is there to sense temperature during defrost cycle. Poor temperatures in fridge on concealed evap beko appliances is often a refrigeration system fault. You would need an engineer to repair a system fault.

Connections accessed under base tray. Try spare parts area on this site, or parts available from smeg service. PULL OUT PLUG before attempting any repairs.

You’ve cut off the aquastop hose assembly off (it had a square plastic block at the end containing solenoid valves). It would need replacing as a complete item. Water and electrical connections are in base of appliance – plug out or call an engineer
