    The sides and the top do need to be removed, as the fascia screws are on the top edge

    usually defrost sensor, but could be defrost heater and/or thermal fuse. If you don’t want to be ripped off by a cowboy why not call samsung authorised repairer (no offence taken)

    The thermistor is in the door, clipped next to the dispenser. There is no stat underneath, only a turbidity sensor

    Its not a ducted fridge, its a “wet wall”, hence the need for a drain hole. The fan in the fridge simply keeps the air moving, if selected. It will help in reducing temperature stratification. The sensor fixed to the back wall is a common source of problems with Liebherr, but other faults are possible.

    The original faulty fan has probably damaged the board, look for a burnt/open circuit resistor nerar the top edge, normally coloured blue

    check to see if the evap fan motor is working, freezing in base of fridge is a symptom of this
