ParticipantRe: Samsung RS21 different problem
If you’re lucky the pin end of the paddle has broken, but usually its the plastic loop that the pin fits into broken – this is not replaceable as its part of the door itself, you have to improvise a repair using a round cable clip or similar and screw. To remove fascia push a screwdriver into the slot(s) under bottom edge and push up/prise off, its a VERY tight fit. Unplug before doing anything

ParticipantRe: Amana Reflection 228FIRB SXS – fridge too cold
it’ll be a problem with the damper, its either frozen open or the return spring fallen out. Its best to get it done under the warranty

ParticipantRe: What exactly is ‘domestic’ gas operatice
last time I had corgi inspector with me he told me if someone is using a gas appliance whilst being on the payroll at a particular location, then that is a commercial setting. Whether or not the appliance being used is a domestic or commercial appliance is irrelevant – if they’re at a workplace its commercial use. He advised we shouldn’t do work at nurseries, care homes, etc. (overkill on regs???)

ParticipantRe: fridge freezer not cold at all
I’ve had a few of these over 12 months or so, mostly weak pumping compressors (they do tend to make a characteristic gurgling from fridge section as if short of gas, but usually they’re not). If you’re really unlucky the compressor oil will overheat, “crack” and block the system – very difficult to clear

ParticipantRe: fridge not cold enough
its not uncommon on these for the compressor to become weak pumping – not a diy diagnosis or repair

ParticipantRe: SMEG FR158 Keeps Icing Up
Make sure the door is shutting/sealing properly, and the condenser fan underneath. If they’re ok then the fridge has system or compressor fault – its very unlikely to be the thermostat

ParticipantRe: Beko CTD – DRCS68W
its a pcb fault – when ordering check serial no. as there are at least 3 versions depending on production date

ParticipantRe: Beko CGA9756FF
This appliance is fully electronic and as such does not have a thermostat. Temperature is controlled by pcb/thermistors
