Not at all Erven, if you relly want the part there’s no issue. We just think that honest advice is better than just taking people’s money for the hell of it.

    Evren,

Really, if it were a dog I’d take it to the vet on a final journey.

I’m a Candy fan (for my sins) but really, this machine just ain’t worth spending that kind of money on it.

Yeah, Kevin got one the other day as well.

There’s more than a few in “The Dead Table”, over 200 I reckon but I really can’t be bothered to count them, many of which have been missed simply as people haven’t sent us in the form. I say that as I KNOW that some of the people on the site are in the postcode areas. 🙁

It takes 5-10 minutes to fill in the form and send one fax, or scan it and email it to me or Dave.

Also, while we’re on the subject I don’t (generally) do a lot that I am not an agent for and even in my area/s there’s been at least two or three missed calls as I don’t cover the manufacturers. Just proves that the “targetting” is working.

Okay, Dave did them and I read over them and missed the date thinking that there was no need to check the obvious.

    I dunno, just can’t get the staff…

PS. I would fix it but I’m on the road and I can’t access the files from the IP’s I’ll be on 😕

    Re: COMPRESSOR CHANGE

Since EAC took most of the refrigeration repairs for the likes of Smeg and Brandt work there’s been very little system work we’ve been doing. In fact only a few R600 jobs in the past year, not that we miss it. 😉

Time consuming and not really worth the effort IMO for what’s on offer and any chargeable work seems to reject it at the cost.

    Just my experience of late.

    Hi,

If you mail Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk he should be able to sort that out in the morning for you.

In case you’re wondering we left it quite open and free form in some ways as I’m sure that between now and Thursday there will be a fair bit to talk about. Also a couple of the points there may take a while to get through if we start the brainstorming stuff as well as there being time for additional points if they want raising, if you do want something included let us know ASAP please.

Is £35 for an oven door seal not a bit on the sore side?

Re: Part number for De Dietrich metal separator strip

It’s very possible that this was an installation accessory, sometimes such things are and trying to get replacements can be a bit of a nightmare. It so happens that I have a DME101X (same range, the combi-micro) here and it doesn’t look to me as if there’s a trim supplied with it.

Normally this would be handled by sales and I certainly don’t see one listed on the spares info, getting sales to acknowledge that however could prove an uphill struggle. 😕

Re: Hygena Diplomat APM8521 (Servis?), won’t stop filling.

    Hi Ray,

If you get a continous fill when the machine is powered up then it’s likely to be a pressure switch failure or something blocking the feed pipe for the switch.

The rust is possibly bearings and, depending on how bad they are, most MFI agents will be about £100-150 to replace them. The pressure switch is a cheap fix normally unless it turns out to be something really obscure.

Try the Repairs@ module as there are a few MFI guys in there or the Directories.

    Hope that helps.

The final rinses are done in cold water that’s why. Obviously the colder the water the colder the clothes, but that is correct. Heat is only applied during the actual was process itself.

The conditioner is another issue, what machine is it?
