Part number 79X3585, available from stock in France at price code G2 but since I don’t have a matrix to hand at home I can’t tell you what that equates to. But generally the lower the digit, the lower the pain. 😉

If you need I can get a price in the morning, or if you just want one ordered let me know.

Ha, Rudolph is on the case, watch this space. 😉

Ms Madden made a grevious error in the quote made on her website, apart from the fact that some of the writings point in the wrong direction by quoting the following:

“There is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage, than a creation of a new order of things”
    Machiavelli’s “The Prince” 1469-1527

That rang alarm bells with me.

To quote Machiavelli and then take control of an endevour like NESN is a grevious error in “showing your hand”, i.e. she feels that she can control the situation. If you read the rest of her website at http://www.cmassociates.co.uk/ you will note a similar trend of control through manipulation. So, my assumption is that she feels that she can steer the situation through a control method, in this case, the control method is the flow and content of the information on offer, using molehills to create mountains and generate press. This is a well known corporate and political technique employed by many large organisations and political parties alike. Now look at Ms Madden’s history and her client list. Does it all start to become clear?

My thought, fight fire with fire. 😉

You have raised some very valid points there Del and ones that should and will be addressed in a more public place.

    Hi Jonathon,

That part is correct and is a no-stock item with Brandt at the moment who actually made the machine for Comet. Unless anyone knows better I am not aware of any alternative that will fit. 🙁

Dave may know, but he’s not back at his desk till Tuesday I’m afraid.

Sadly there is no such thing as a “standard” door seal. They may be carried across a range of appliances from the same manufacturer, but that’s as far as it goes.

    Well….

What you do is this, first off pass the information to Rudolph to open the door as that way they won’t know where they’re being blind-sided from….

Oops! I already did that! :rotfl:

Then you let us at the bastards!

    Oh, that’s what I’m already planning. 😉

If they want back in the game then as far as I am concerned they have to make ammends to those that they fucked over and, at this point, I strongly believe that we have to make an example of them and show that we will not be fucked about in the way that NESN did.

Perhaps scrapping all those older spares wasn’t such a brilliant plan after all! 😆

So there you have it from the horse’s mouth, you have all agreed or re-approached NESN of your on volition according to Ms Madden and she has just used YOUR names to drive home the point to the entire network whether true or not. But in most cases I absolutely, positively know that this is not the case.

    Have a nice day.

TBH Raffy it’s been some years since I last looked at these and we rarely come across them. When I was looking at them they were only being advised for use with the BBQ and nothing else by Gagganau if memory serves me. I have not seen a UK one for some time and a lot of people don’t even know about the BBQ domino’s let alone the additional extraction required to use them as it is a pretty specialist area.

I really think you’re going to struggle to achieve what you want here without going to specialist and, therefore, expensive equipment.

Wolf don’t, to my knowledge, actually sell in the UK or EU at all yet on an official level so sales and service may be a chore to get, spares would just be a nightmare.

Gaggenau are probably your best option in all honesty but whether they have system powerful enough for what I think you want to do is doubtful as they were, from what I know of them, always used to compliment an overhead extractor, not be a primary extractor.

However, I see that they now seem to be saying that the current range can be used as a primary extraction method. Of course this would probably mean using a Gaggenau hob/s as well, which will not be cheap!

I couldn’t see any prices, no shock it’s a case of if you have to ask you can’t afford it I guess, on any of the machines in the UK but US, $1300…each…OUCH! And that was discounted!

There are several variations on the theme, five actually, to be sure I’d need the numbers off the rating plate. However, the seal is available I think under part number 55X5379 at a cost of £18.89 excluding VAT and carriage but is currently out of stock with the manufacturer. 🙁

It is described as a “sleeve” and I’m not entirely 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} convinced that that is the door seal as the spares manual for that machine is nothing short of terrible!

Yeah Del, that always cracks me up. We often get abuse because we can’t get there same or next day or a “what do you mean you can’t call here promptly at 6pm” and then you hear about all this nonsense.

But it may interest you to know that whilst AMDEA ignored my request for a copy of their code of practise I managed to aquirea copy and compare it to the new copy. They have dropped the references to call times making it possible for long lead times to call now, nice eh, if the rules don’t suit you then simply change them. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to that from time to time?

So the poor customer or retailer now has no redress through the trade body that represents the manufacturers. It also speaks volumes about the credibility of AMDEA to me.

Well, well at last the truth comes home to roost.

If the retailers don’t get decent service and proper resolutions to problems with service calls they stop selling or promoting the product as they don’t want the grief. So there, in a nutshell, is how service has a direct effect on sales.

    Re: P&G

Oh I do have one or two tricks up my sleeve yet you know. 😉

I don’t have the time to fully go into it now but th e-jobs thing should generate an interest, provide a worthwhile service and get the interest level up as well. I also have a few neat ideas centered around that to push UKW.

With the resources of the likes of P&G at our disposal we can blitz the industry and reach the public as well.

It’s interesting that you mention the NESN thing Del as that did generate a massive interest in UKW at the time from the trade but none from the public. What we’re now seeing is a massive increase in hits from the general public and that is undoubtledly set to grow.

Some twat even pinched http://www.ukwhitegoods.net and is using it to re-direct to his spares site, which proves to me that to go to that trouble UKW is being recognised now, within a few years it will hopefully be a brand in its own right. I’m still considering what to do about that idiot cybersitter, I may just wait till there’s some money and go at him off the bat rather then arsing around. He registered the domain on June 5th, hence I have registered and protected a load of domains for UKW at my own personal expense this past 6 months or so as I saw this coming.

The increase in hits from the public is where the true power lies in all honesty, with that comes a totally different perspective on UKW.

We have to get this survey thing up and running and we also need to have the nonce to use that information and to profit by it as well as allowing the guys to profit by and use it as a tool.

No Del there was no threats, she was only trying to steer Robert in the direction of UKW. But two in a couple of weeks or so is phenomenal really especially when the customers are enthusing about the site, so maybe we are having an effect.

I can live with that alone as a prize.
