KeymasterRe: Site News & Updates
You may have noticed that there are a few manufacturers logos appearing on some items in the news as well as more personalised topics for those manufacturers. The reason is that what I was aiming for was to make it easier to find relevant material should it be required so from now on the topic. Hopefully this will build into a huge encyclopedia of information for the manufacturers as well as us since they can now see what the competition is all about with a single click so it helps them as much as it does us.
I will be building this up over time obviously but I’m not going back though nearly 400 stories to edit them all! 😉

KeymasterRe: The Whirlpool Thing
Okay, it’s not too often that I post older bits of news but there was an interesting article over on fool.com about Whirlpool and it’s financial situation the other day so I posted it up tonight.
It turns out that they as well as some of the other big boys are under a little pressure to perform right now and produce results. Those results generally mean improved financial results for the stock markets around the world. Now it doesn’t take a genius to work out that if the board is under pressure to show better profits that edict will be passed down the chain to the various divisions and sub-divisions. One of those divisions is bound to be service. 😕
Do the math! 😉
This is why, particularly with big corporations, it’s worth reading the little financial bits Dave and I post up as it can have a direct effect on we little minions.

KeymasterThanks Trevor I was wanting it locked down to that anyway and thanks for sorting out the bugs.
What refferers logo is that? I thought I’d sussed them all out and sorted them.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool
Thanks.
They had better watch out TBH because I will stick to my guns and defend the agents and I don’t much care how big they are, the bigger they are and all that malarky.
Thing is what they have got to realise is that they are playing corporate politics with people’s lives, I don’t take to that too kindly and I’m at least as smart as some of the idiots that dream up these ridiculous notions. I just want them to get a grip on reality and start behaving like responsible adults.
They all regard service as a thorn in their side and they all want it done for nothing and given a superb service for that nothing. If they want the job doing right then they’re gonna have to pay to get it done as far as I’m concerned. And all this skulking about trying to fuck the agents over is just not on these days if I have anything to do with it.
Plus, what are they going to do about it, there’s no facts in that article it’s all just supposition and hearsay? 😉 😈

KeymasterYep it appears to be fine now, thanks Trevor. When you get moment after you’re done partying could you have a look at the code for the topic on the frontpage news articles. It says:
“BLANK”: Subject
Teh text is there, they’ve just labelled the colour wrongly for both the text and the link on the template. Not being a code monkey I don’t want to arse about with it and potentially break it.
No rush on it, just a little annoyance more than anything.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.

KeymasterKinda trying to solve that too, I thought that the site was using the funkycool server but it’s not, it’s using the local one. Trevor is taking a peek to see what the problem is and the FAQ is fixed. 😀

NOTHING! don’t be daft, we’re engineers and as such are natural horders of crud we will probably never need again but we keep it, “just in case”. 😆
Just look at some of the stock we’ve got!

KeymasterI simply despair at the ones now that MUST have the lights on their hood working for Christmas, you’d think they could find something better to do with their time.
