    Re: Bosch spinning too fast?

Okay so Martin will probably chime in on this and, probably echo what I’m about to say as harsh as it may seem…

What the hell are you doing messing with the pressure switch?

They do not and never need adjusted. Ever.

If you do that you seriously muck stuff up! You might think it’s back to where it was but, it won’t be. A fraction of a turn out and it’s toast. Which would also explain the symptoms you describe now.

And the logic in why you did that doesn’t stack up at all. If you add more water, you add more weight.

So, as you’ve messed with the pressure sensor all bets are off, it could do many a wack-a-doodle thing and there’s no baseline to go from meaning that, any diagnosis or help is at best a wild guess.

To even begin, replace the pressure sensor. Then go from there.

It was probably needing a set of carbons or something mundane like that but as you’ve messed about with the pressure sensor, other than physically checking the carbons, there’s no way to tell where the problem really lies.

If you’d asked before messing with the pressure sensor…

I know, it’s harsh but it is what it is.

I think they’re built into the heater casing on that one, which is about £80 so not a popular part at all.

    Re: Bush WV12-75DW leaking

It could be almost anything, without getting inside and seeing what the score is and what’s leaking, there’s really not much anyone will be able to tell you.

If there is a float in them, it’s used to detect a leak and halt the machine. It won’t cause it to overfill or to leak if faulty.

Okay so I need a break. So I keep being told as I’ve not taken a day in almost two years. It’s difficult to argue otherwise.

I know this, even if it is somewhat inconvenient.

But I am off next week from the wee small hours of Monday morn till whenever I’m told I’ve to be back. Think it’s just a week though.

Back with a vengeance after that. 😉

But of course, I’ll be online and about. No way I wouldn’t be.

    Thermostats. Fixed to the base.

If there’s water gotten onto them you’ll probably see arcing, signs of electrical burning.

If it’s blocked up with ice as I suspect, the only solution is to completely defrost it. No alternative I’m afraid.

    That doesn’t really help.

Here’s what you need to know to find it, there’s hundreds of models…

    But, the advice above stands.

    Re: Liebherr problems

Do you have the model or the service number?

It’s possibly blocked up with ice and, if so, you’ll have to shut it down for at least 24 hours to let all that melt away then try it again.

Re: Samsung fridge freezer not making ice

If it doesn’t get down to temperature, it won’t make ice.

Most of them need to hit -18?C before it’ll harvest ice. If it doesn’t hit that, no chance.

I wouldn’t trust the display as, if it’s a faulty thermistor (sensor) it may well be telling you lies.

Chances of a duff part doing the same thing are so infinitely remote a possibility it’s unreal.

Look at the stats, is there any arcing on them?
