KeymasterRe: Beko Fridgefreezer (cda653fb/1) too cold
Sorry, for some reason I didn’t get the reply notification on this.
The mod seems to suggest that the thermistor can be swapped without digging into the foam however, I’ve not done one personally as yet.

KeymasterRe: warming drawer
In that case it is available but, fair warning, parts aren’t exactly cheap. 🙁
If you can tell me what part it is you’re after from the following I can tell you more:

There should be a PNC on it as it’s made by Electrolux for them.
There are two variants, hence the need for the PNC number, it will be 947727211 followed by either 00 or 01.

KeymasterRe: Ariston Fidge Freezer
Could you keep it to one thread please as it saves confusion.
Thanks.
It could also be the compressor seized or the internal seals have rotted due to it not being used for so long but, in any event as Bob rightly says, it’s not a DIY repair and it won’t be cheap so, probably not economical.

KeymasterRe: Problems with Neff grill
What’s the ENR number, that’s the important one?
Neff won’t normally give you tech support for DIY repairs, as is the case with many if not most brands.
And, parts not accepted back after fitting is common practice across the industry from most if not all suppliers. Not fitted, not a problem but after they’ve been fitted it usually will be.

KeymasterRe: Integrated Oven without ZN limiter
You probably will not be able to buy a modern oven that doesn’t have some form of thermal safety device, I’ve not seen one that hasn’t had one fitted in many years.

KeymasterRe: Thoughts on what leave will mean to us?
Not very likely if all costs rise unilaterally, which is the most probable outcome.
It’ll be as is, just more expensive for everyone.

KeymasterRe: Thoughts on what leave will mean to us?
Yeah and everything else will go up as well, including all our costs so there’s no net benefit in it at all.

The “thermostat” isn’t one. It’s a small PCB that simply tells an electronic controller what to do, effectively a user input board only.
It will be one or both thermistors that will be the issue probably, most likely the fridge one but the usual stuff is set out here:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix- … hermistors
It’s not plug and play.

As the old adage goes Martin, be careful what you wish for as you might just get it.

Have you tried a maintenance was and/or using Affresh in it to clean it out?

Most of them deal in Euros.
What they do after to transfer to native currency, if they even do so, who knows.
And thing is, if the machines do go up so will everything else most likely, except earnings I expect.

KeymasterRe: Thoughts on what leave will mean to us?
In one respect pretty simple really.
Pound drops in value, imports are more expensive and prices rise.
If the pound stays down for any length of time prices will be hiked of almost all products and likely spare parts as well.
That may well spiral and lead to inflation rises as well on the top of that.
Most companies will soak it up or a while so long as its not too bad a bump but, ultimately it will be passed on if it lasts.
So far its a blip, until it stabilises to a new norm it’s hard to guess what will happen but I would anticipate costs in general to rise under current circumstances but, they keep changing so that may alter.

KeymasterRe: Fishing
That was the idea Lawrence, use an online store with specific codes for each seller that gives the customer a discount and the repairer to get a small kickback for each sale.
What is agreed between the your customer and yourself re installation is entirely up to the repairer, bog all to do with me or the manufacturer. And, anything you earn off the back of that, all yours.
I’m trying to box clever here as it were as, not to put too fine a point on it, many of the guys are completely sh1t at paperwork so, if these can be tagged using the code as machines you “sold” to your customer/s then the repair work is or should be tagged back to you also.
Technical stuff I need to work on but I’d need to use an online payment gateway to accomplish what I have in mind which, also from a technical point of view, makes UKW and/or the manufacturer/partner enabling all that the legal seller, not the guys such as you or Bryan.
That means that legally at least, you have zero obligation under either the SoGA or CRA. This as you are not legally the seller, as you didn’t accept payment.
Apologies if any of that doesn’t make sense, if you need me to clarify anything just ask.

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool side-by-side fridge not defrosting
It is probably the thermostat or sensor on the freezer evaporator or the main rear PCB but hard to tell remotely.
