KeymasterRe: Dishwasher job refund.
Na, she’s disposed of the goods you supplied Steve so pretty much, her problem.
If you don’t want to hack her off too much you could offer a partial refund on the labour as a gesture of goodwill under the circumstances however it is evident and has been clearly demonstrated that further faults came to light after your repair was carried out.
Do that and I very much doubt TS or anyone will have much (if any) sympathy for the customer if she wants to go down that road.
She should, on reflection, realise that’s the best possible outcome she could hope for.

KeymasterRe: happy new year
Here’s a thread that shows just how long we’ve all been doing this…
Happy New Year all and all the best for 2016.

Yeah, right. Methinks they may have been trying to feel better or, maybe you spoke to a newbie.

Concrete weight breaking up is not at all uncommon.

KeymasterRe: Fan oven not working
What you say suggests something that is linked to both and, they do appear to be totally separate from one another.
The only feed to the grill is the live and neutral feeds from L1 and N1 on the terminal block. Aside that I can’t see anything obvious.

KeymasterRe: Repairtech (UK) Ltd – Is this a joke?
Just an afterthought Matilda…
You could talk to Repairtech at the Feb meeting, it’s not that far away.
And, you could also ask Lawrence, Ian or any of the rest of the WTA Team there about it as well. I’m quite sure that if you get them “off camera” as it were that the response may be somewhat colourful. 😉

KeymasterRe: Kettle fire tech question
Without specifics and, I do mean very specific information I doubt you will get anywhere.
For a start we don’t know a make or model so no clue as to the design. We don’t know how much limescale. We don’t know if there were safety mechanisms. We don’t know if the fuse went. We don’t know if it was on an RCD or whatever supply. We don’t know the use or the condition.
Too many variables and too many unknowns.
Theoretically, what you are being told could be correct but it’s impossible to be certain without an awful lot more information.
And, I doubt that anyone will pipe up either way less they land themselves in court or in the middle of a bunfight over a kettle. 😉

KeymasterRe: Repairtech (UK) Ltd – Is this a joke?
I don’t think that the WTA would take that sort of work at that kind of rate given what they’ve brought to the table thus far. 😉
Anyway, that’s rates from the last decade for integrated and fridge work. For gas, maybe twenty/thirty years ago that’d have been okay, now it’s just laughable.

Tapatalk still pending, sorry, it’s a truck of work.
But on the upside, we’ve moved across to the brand new super duper server as of the early hours of Christmas Eve and things seem to be zipping along rather nicely. 😉

KeymasterRe: Odd place for a washing machine
The landlord does realise that that installation is possibly illegal and extremely unsafe in any event doesn’t he?
If that table collapses it’ll be a cracking claim. 😉
The machine must be a minimum of IPX4 rated even in the area but I’m quite sure Beko would walk away as well because, that’s just plain mental!
Safe zone thing attached.
