KeymasterThe product code is AA0JJXS1NE but there’s no service info on it, GDHA are very caged with that IME and not allowing anyone other than them to access it.

KeymasterI don’t have any info at all on that AA0JJXSE1NE model and can’t find any reference to it anywhere.

KeymasterI have caught site of the administrators report and the basic upshot of it is that if you were owed money by Connect, you ain’t gonna get it.
It’s very sad as I saw some of the amounts that were owed and most are not “too” bad, sure any loss isn’t good but most are survivable. Some though are shockingly high and extinction level stuff.
In total, roughly, with all repairers and other unsecured debtors it’s over £11M they’re writing off that was owed by CDSL.
What Screwfix are going to do going forward in the way of repairs etc I have no clue. My gut says that isn’t their business and it’s not high value so whether they’re going to continue with it or not, whilst obviously unknown, I can’t help but think that they won’t. It’s too much hassle for not enough of a return and, having this hanging like a cloud over getting repairers onboard won’t make the task any easier.

KeymasterMiele spares or at least, most of them, you can only get from Miele now as they have stoped third parties getting access to parts as well as info now so, you’re at their mercy completely.
As we reported here:

KeymasterNo, it doesn’t work like that, it’s a bit odd.
The easiest way is to know the username or restrict them, which I think you guys can do so they’re moderated.

KeymasterNo worries.
There’s probably a log somewhere, buried but I can’t find it.

KeymasterNope, sorry I can’t see it.

KeymasterI can, do you know the username?

KeymasterPretty much that’s about all you can do.
Withhold any labour until the matter is resolved.

KeymasterIt’s worse though Ally as you could get a double hit on it by having to lose payment for the work you’ve done and you can bet your backside the administrator will be chasing everyone for payment on parts they’ve supplied, even if used on their own jobs.
So unless people take a stand on it, you’ll get shafted. Again.

KeymasterI don’t think that many people were doing enough volume, some maybe but Repaircare didn’t have all that much in the way of contracts from what I know of it.

KeymasterIt’s a big business. They do not understand that small traders can’t afford to write off a month or more’s turnover.
And, I suspect don’t understand that forgiveness for that will be a long time coming.
Trust will take yet longer. If they ever gain it.
But, all in all, not a good start.
