    I think it has died.

    The website now appears to be under the control of NAC and some sort of portal to them.

    I have removed as many links to it as I can from here but if anyone comes across any please let me know and I’ll remove them. I don’t want people to be sent to that website under false pretences that it’s some sort of an “official” or endorsed site.

    See the thing is Dave, to you, me, Steven, Lawrence and all that’s just second nature.

    You can’t see the point in wasting your time, the punter’s money and so on making a call that you know is a waste of time and money to all. But a number these charlatans have no problem with it, they just see punters as potential cash cows.

    I’m skipping loads of steps but, that’s why I suspect a number of them operate under various brands on various sites or rebrand as they get burned and have to restart or move on.

    If people think they’re getting a good service or one they can trust they will wait for you Steven, like a good plumber, plasterer, joiner or whatever. If they don’t want to wait then get burned, that’s not really your problem but theirs. Least, that’s the way I always looked at it because the ones that are good at what they do and cost effective are rarely sat about with bugger all to do.

    Yeah, Lawrence called me earlier as this has kick-started a number of ideas and revitalised a few that has waned off into the distance because.. stuff.. life.. stupid viruses and so forth.

    But, I do think that there’s mileage in this, a lot and that it is a win-win-win for all as it’s good for customers as they don’t get ripped off (we’d hope), good for repairers as they get direct business without the middle-man fees and good for the TA as it’s doing all a solid.

    I really don’t see a downside in pursuing this line.

    Put it this way, it means that eve nI can do all that as so much is automated it takes no time at all to do.

    What I might need some help with is keeping track of certificates and stuff like that, if we need it but I may have an idea or two there.

    Yeah something like that.

    The other huge problem that especially Lawrence and I have is, when it’s the big full blown thing you end up like a headless chicken and not getting to speak to people in any depth. It’s a mad whirlwind of chaos, the first peace you get is when you get back in the car to go home.

    I wasn’t thinking to invite any of them, if they turn up fair enough but what I wasn’t wanting to do was the full on, blown up meeting with stands, presentations and so on.

    The problem with that is that it takes months to organise and prepare for and is a shitload of work/hassle.

    The intent here was more of a social thing and to get a sense of what the troops want us to have a go at, if anything.

    My idea was to do a sorta engineers only meeting in Feb at Yarnfield as it’s fairly central and cheap.

    Thank you and if anyone’s interested, I’d still love to get some images of the slime in the machines, the scarier the better. 😉

    I know about the lack of sanitising washes but there’s other articles on that and I didn’t want to drone on too much and about too much.
