KeymasterI’d recommend an Asko machine as by the sound of that you’ll be doing a fair bit of washing.

KeymasterYou “need” door hinge hook pins, part number 173850197 according to Smeg. This:
As many people have used a small screwdriver or two to hold the hinge open and though I’ve not done any myself it can’t be that hard as normal punters have managed it.And, those kind come with the cooker/oven that uses them, they are supplied so the door can be removed by the owner for cleaning.

KeymasterYeah it’s an easy enough thing to do once you work out what the problem is and parts for them aren’t that bad price wise. It’s also not that hard to get into, getting access to the rear and sides is normally the biggest problem but once you get that it’s not that hard.

KeymasterWhen they cut out like that the cooling fan and stats are the first thing to look at usually.
The switch is possible but less likely as that’s more or an “it works, doesn’t work” kinda thing, there’s no middle ground.

KeymasterI’d really need the ART number on the rating plate to be sure of much but, that sounds more like the cooling fan is not working or the overheat stat is being tripped for some reason.

KeymasterI reached out to Ebac several times about getting info, working with them and so far I’ve had no response from them.

KeymasterSadly those are obsolete, you won’t get them or any to fit anywhere now.
As to generic ones, this explains why that’s not a thing…

KeymasterIf the bearings are gone then yes a replacement machine will be the better option as that one has a sealed tank so not a cheap repair.

KeymasterThe squeak could be suspension, belt, motor, pretty much anything that moves and if the bearings seem okay it might not be a huge concern.
The dark patches are strange as, if the bearings are okay as they seem to be, that can only be caused by something that’s been put in the machine really.
As to going faster, it won’t be.

KeymasterIf you turn the drum by handy is it noisy or feel “rough”?

KeymasterLiebherr are, I’d say, superior to pretty much anything else that’s affordable.

KeymasterWe’ve no access to Miele tech info as they do not allow it but it will probably either be a system problem, most likely or a thermostat/sensor problem.

KeymasterI’d agree, sounds like the compressor has bit the dust.
