    Re: Anyone Heard of Siematic?

Thanks Dave, I knew what you meant 🙂 .

Thanks for the input Martin, I have not been to the hood yet (Mon). But the customer complains that there is no light (bulb or bulbs maybe) and that the fan does not work (switch or motor maybe). I have tried Appliance Care to see if they recognise model but no joy. I will see what I find Monday.

Incidentally I have been trying to trace a part for a Hotpoint 9567. The part does not show on the Partfinder breakdown. It is a bridgeing piece that sits between the ON/OFF switch itself and the the button you press with your finger. It slots inside the button which when pressed then pushes against the switch. I have ordered the button thinking it might come with that but it does not. The part sits between Nos.5 and 37 on the Partfinder drawing. No.5 is described as inner and outer but this refers to the rectangular button and the centre locking button. Any thoughts.

    Thanks

    Re: Dyson Washing Machine?

The problem was the plasset pump. It was a bit of a pig to get into the front when you are driving blind. The plastic outer door has to be removed by popping it off the hinges. I have tried to show on one of the photos the two parts of the hinge after seperation. It is a flat screwdriver job to prise it over the lug (frightning at first as plastic is quite stiff) but easy to pop back on. There are two torx (25) screws shrouded in the hinge which have to be removed to get front panel off. Make sure you take the torx screwdrivers as opposed to torx bits as they are recessed into the hinge quite deep and a bit will be too wide. There are two screws in the sloping control panel and three screws along the top exposed when lid is taken off. I left the ON/OFF s/w cables and small hose leading into the bezel control housing connected and just removed the ribbon cable. I then just hinged the panel open to the left. Backplate removal straight forward.

Maybe the two motors is a cheaper way of getting the extra torque required to turn the pulley through whatever clutch or gearing setup there is behind the drum pulley to get the contrarotation. there is quite a load to move when fully laden with water and soggy clothes.

Re: The Utility Warehouse Discount Club

Below is a copy of a private message I sent to Ken. He advised that I should post it to clarify things a little.

    Hello Ken,

Spamming is certainly not my intention. I posted to this forum for the genuine reason of offering what is a very good deal for anyone.

The problem with this kind of business is that everyone gets tarred with the same brush. I have been with the company for 6 years and have refered many of my personal customers to them, they are still my customers and are very happy with them. I certainly would not risk my reputation with my appliance customers if there was even a hint of dubiousness about them. Of course I am not naive enough to think that there are not those who would act in a dubious way who are associated as agents (like me) with the company. But I know that the company itself is a company of integrity and Charles Wigoder, the chairman, a man of great heart and where anything untoward is discovered it is dealt with swiftly and mercilously.

Two things I thought about doing before posting:

    1. To send it to yourself for appraisal (I wish I had now) but wrongly reasoned that it was offering genuine savings to folk in the forum, no different (I thought) than advising where to get cheaper spares etc.

    2. To indicate my interest in this as an operator of this business but again reasoned that that would be obvious when any who were interested visited the site.

I wish I had gone with my gut feeling.

The text is all hand keyed in by me gleaned from information about the company and the personal stuff is my own truthful testimonial and experiences of the real benefits I have reaped.

It certainly is not my intention to `rock the boat` so if you think that it should be removed then please do so. This was not snook in as I am aware of the moderators monitoring the pages and certainly in your own case I know how busy you are kept. Please accept my appologies, it really was done with the best of intentions. But please let me re-emphasise that the company is genuine in its dealings with all peolpe and I have total confidence in them.

Re: Indesit C239NF Frost Free F/F

Thanks for your response guys but this is all electronic and no defrost timer. It also has a 2 way solenoid valve incorporated to feed the fridge and freezer with refrigerant but I don`t suspect this as gas is getting to the freezer evap. The machine is about 2yrs old.

    Re: Bosch Washing Machine WFM4030GB/04

    Thanks for those great replies.

I have had the motor off and checked it out and it is very `tidy`, the brushes only about quarter worn as the machine apparently has not been used a lot. I have changed quite a number of end frames on these motors and understand the state they can get in. I have checked with EMW and they do not do Bosch modules. The motor plug loom was securely cable tied to the lugs prior to me removing it to test. All insulation resistance checks are very good. I have minutely checked the module for dry joints etc but all ok

If you do have a module Penguine could you let me know what you want for it and the P&P so I can inform my customer.

Once again thanks for your promp attention 🙂 .

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your offer on this part. The customer eventually got back to me and told me has fitted it.

Also thanks for the advice about a frost free Hotpoint F/F just recently. It was the thermistor stopping the fan.

    Thanks Charlieboy,

I did post a reply to say I had fitted another element. I don`t know where it went, but I do appreciate you taking the time to look things up. I will keep this in mind as I know through Paul at DATA that others have gone down in my area.

    Laurence

PS I expect it was taken off because of a comment I made. I must remember to be circumspect about such things. Sorry webmasters. 😕

Re: Proline EF7000W/1 Fan Oven Element

    Thanks Dave

I have tried this and a number of others that Paul at DATA let me try. They are all somewhat larger in various ways or out of alignment. I probably can make one fit but it won`t just be a little customising so if I can get the right one I will be happier.
