BT will actually stop premium rate numbers being accessed from your phone if you ask them to. I have this applied to my phone at home.

Re: Part P Or Not To Part P

Is it a question of some urban myths begining to arise here. I have given the document an extremely quick scan. My first impression that the installations it refers to are permanent, fixed installations on the consumers side of the supply. I take these to be such equipment like consumer units, earth trips, security/fire alarm consules etc, etc. It seems to be quite ambiguous on the DIY side of things.

    Re: Siemens T1200A Help

    Thanks Martin,

The button is detachable from the cradle which is the part that is snapped in half. Apparently the part No that you and Boro gave is for the button only. I was able to get through to BSH technical this morning and he says that part is a fixture of the facia panel 🙁 at £59.33 inc vat and p&p, trade.

I will let you know the outcome should the customer want it done.

But thanks all for your input, it is very much appreciated.

    Re: Siemens T1200A Help

    Thanks Boro,

It is the middle of the bank of 3 buttons. On the drawing it is part No 1683191. But is this the button only or the fixture it is engaged in (see photo) also. The fixture itself pivots on 2 lugs inside the black casing part No 351466 and the other end is attached to a spring clip to cause it to reset the button.

    Clear as mud eh!

    Re: Zan Dishwasher DES959 PNC91188600701

    Thanks Alex,

The machine is one I aquired and am doing up for a pal who is willing to pay for the parts. I think I will change the tank.

Incidentally can the user instuctions be obtained from anywhere?

Below is the begining part of the service bulletin which is on TDS under the above PNC, listed at bottom of this selsction on TDS as Doc File 599358870:

    “DISHWASHER

    2430

    SERVICE BULLETIN

OBSTRUCTION OF LEVEL CONTROL SYPHONS ON IWMS

“NEW STRUCTURE” & “EVOLUTION” 60cm DISHWASHERS (2nd edition)

IMPORTANT: This 2nd EDITION differs from the previous one, since some modifications

have been introduced in the paragraph “Instructions for Service”.

The solution enables to solve the frequent problem of obstruction of the level control siphons, incorporated

in the IWMS, and the consequent stop of the appliance with the pressure switch on full (contacts 1-3) or on empty

(contacts 1-2). The problem is more frequent in areas where the water is ‘harder’ and when programmes at low

temperatures and low quality detergents are used and in case of heavy soil.

The solution makes it possible NOT TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE IWMS.”

    Thanks for your input Alex

The lady was partially blind and got some aspects of the number wrong. Did the rest on the A/care web site.

    Thanks again,

    Re: Candy CPC240FFK Fridge freezer

    Hi Dave and anyone else,

I have received the PCB for this machine CAN97922579 and iit is a service pack.

I need to configure it by removing one or other, or leave or take out both tabs situated on the new PCB. The instuctions give me 3 different types of appliances. They refer to those without fridge ventilators….I pressume they mean the duct from the freezer to the fridge. What do they mean by “top mounted units”? And when they refer to “390 litre combi units” they mean the internal capacity I assume? 🙂

    Appreciate some confirmation on this.

    Many thanks,

    Laurence

    Re: Candy CPC240FFK Fridge freezer

    Thanks Dave,

Reading about similar models in the book it says that the thermistor very rarely goes down so I think I will go for the pcb. Could someone confirm the part number as the info I have does not list this model. Thanks.

    Much appreciated.
