I am sorry that is pretty negative, if the WTA membership decided that the criteria included this then surely it is the membership that decides these things?
Sorry let me put that statement into context ,If someone that was considering becoming a member of the WTA was to put certain pre requisites in the way of joining such as, it was a requirement that every member had to be visited, test equipment evaluated, previous customers contacted to gauge customer satisfaction, insurances inspected waste liscences mandatory so old parts can be recycled not go to landfill , then there is no way that we could change the criteria to suit them .You are right the membership at the AGM can bring forward anything they wish ,but remember that the organising team are elected by the body so there must be an element of trust that they have the members best interests at heart .
Now to be blunt (not Rude) you are not A WTA member so any further information required I require in writing either through Admin or through the address published ,I will personally deal with them and reply in due course
This is the last I will say in this thread re the WTA,any WTA members that want to discuss further I will gladly talk on the WTA forum

My suggestion – leave him alone now ,don’t feed him & discuss next week .
The bottom line is he is not a WTA member ,so his concerns can’t be discussed in the WTA forum ,so therefore points of concern should go to Admin or Chair,for us (all of us )to discuss next week and give a written response ..end of

Martin that is very magnanimous of you ,however from what I can see Dr Dill doesn’t want to join until we have certain things in place being .1.pre vetting members beyond the criteria already in place -not going to happen .
2.Independent chairman – not a deal breaker but preferable-again can’t see it happening
So that means that there is no where else to go as far as I can see,so the WTA will continue what it has set out to do,and Dr dill will continue to say what he says .
I for one hope he will be at the meeting though ,along with yourself as I have never had the privilege of actually meeting you .

Question re Dr Dill
He is obviously on a mission to discredit WTA ,Ken and now I think my self ,the reason I asked him to put stuff in writing is so that we can give a considered response on Fri of next week an on the hoof decision on my part is that okRe: DrDill’s Latest Bashing Thread

Paying a Chairman a salary from Funds would wipe out any funds ,unless you charged a much higher subscription rate and then the members would be funding a salary and not much else.
The best way is to have checks and balances in place which we have ,I don’t understand the conflict point you are making ,surely by definition the term
“Trade Association ” means like minded people or companies from within the sector are going to be a part of it doesn’t it 😕
Also the members can make representation to the steering group to bring points of order up at the next AGM if they should have any issues.However the way I see it is you have stated why you don’t want to join the WTA ,I respect those reasons -I don’t agree with them,you still have concerns with regard to the WTA if you write to the WTA or email Admin stating your questions we will answer them ,we have a team meeting Next Thurs/Fri if you put your queries through they can be discussed there and I will make sure you get an answer on every point that you query through these two mediums .

Bummer ,the way it seems to be panning out is I land 1pm thurs ,Stephen & Ade will pick me up on there way through and we either come and drink your coffee or check in and drink your coffee later as well as on Fri,I am happy with hotel restaurant both nights if everyone else is ?
