Re: Poor wash complaints, new Hotpoint

I have been called to this “type” of problem recently with a cold fill Zan.. The customer had moved house and fault started straight away. for some reason (can you recommend a good plumber ?) the red and blue levers where on wrong taps… the resulting “Hot” rinsing caused havoc.. ESPECIALLY after fast spin.. Was just a thought..

TFC1140-GB04 (100202315)… PROLINE (fan element) EF7000B/1 (0946kf141).. Does this info help ??? I can get them from “normal” sales sites at ridiculous prices 🙁 Thanks for your help anyway.. Re: Dyson DC04 – switch removal

I won’t have ANY of you bringin Dyson down !!!!!!!!! I DO wish to correct an earlier statement which seems to have tickled 1 or 2 of you cynics out there… The DC04 is NOT the best model… It is the least WORST !!!! Mr D has very kindly COMPLETELY ignored rectifying ANY of his cleverly designed built-in faults, and fortunately, for ALL us repairpersons, most of them are built-in to rear their ugly splits and breaks at 25 months !!! APPROXIMATELY the same time span as an (white) elephants gestation period !! I’ve sussed it see !!! THANKYOU JAMES FOR PROVIDING HALF MY TOTAL INCOME FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS…. Point made me thinks………… 😀

Re: Adding brush control to a DC07 – possible?

using second hand parts IF available.. If you brought it to MY shop.. it would cost approx £40-£50.. Which is reasonable for the amount of parts and labour required.. to back up lasy message, the dc04 bits (apart from clutch) will NOT fit.. Good luck..

Re: Calling those who’ve had detergent training

Up here In Sunny North Wales we have EXTREMELY Soft water and the minimum amount of powder is required… I think Miele MUST be worried about Sudsing, Purely because of customer confusion on detergent doses.. Our local Supermarket sells approx 220 packs of de-calcifier EVERY WEEK ! THAT is either ignorance, confusion or pure stupidity.. You can’t blame Miele for covering their backs…..

    Re: AAAAAaaaaarrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!Zanussi door seal.

If you fold the door gasket inside the inner drum, you can then use Mole-grips at the 12 O’clock position to clamp the spring into the gasket groove.. Practise and feel will show you how much pressure to use. Job LITERALLY takes 30 seconds to do using this method ! hope this helps..
